Recent winner of the New Horizons in Physics Prize and the Schmidt Science Polymaths Award, Suchitra Sebastian is an up and coming condensed matter physicist. She is based at the Cavendish Laboratory at the University of Cambridge where she is a Professor of Physics.
Professor Sebastian is known for her discoveries of exotic quantum phenomena that emerge in complex materials. She was named as one of thirty Exceptional Young Scientists by the World Economic Forum in 2013, one of The Next Big Names in Physics by the Financial Times in 2013.

⚓️ thanks guys, I really have a problem with the pay wall on these videos…. Dr. Sebastian is funded essentially by public institutions & industry grants. All of which exist through some kind of public funding or tax credits…. Essentially all this information is public domain… maybe I’m in the wrong spot to derive the benefits of the public information…. Where might that information be available??? Thanks

I take issue with how she presents this information. No one is claiming that “dialing up” quantum phenomena will predict all macro phenomena. It’s not that simple. But claiming that macro phenomena cannot be derived from quantum phenomena just sounds ludicrous to me.
