At 1:40 on your left as you are gliding there is that buried tomb ruin in the sand, right next to it at the base of a tree is a gold chest on the surface. It spawns all level 25 gear and mostly legendary items, the tomb spawns gloom armour and other items. All gold chests in the bottom right of the map spawn level 25 gear/ an legendary items.

This is a great find. I've got an altar to spare... Inside of the Sun Temple you showed, there is a lot of really good loot. You can actually plop an altar in the middle courtyard without affecting any of the looting areas. I stick to just cheesing into the main temple without working the puzzle rooms. All you need is a good glider and some mana to spare. I think most people know how to get into the main temple, and there are videos out there on how to do it. The golden chest has been lucrative for me, but there are also A LOT of vases and other breakables that dropped really, really good loot. Plus, it's the area you get the Desert Temple Blocks for the first time, so you can farm that, too, if that aesthetic is your thing. In one 15-minute looting spree I collected: 2038 Sun Temple Blocks 16 alchemical base 7 iron bars 17 bronze bars 15 tin bars 72 metal scraps 12 antiseptic 12 twigs 14 palm wood 2 Shocking Ice Wands 1 Wolf's Maw (sword) 2 Club of Defiance (flail) 1 Blazing Wand 1 Radiant Paladin gloves 5 Greater Shroud Survival Flasks 7 +800 healing potions I skip water when it drops, plus I ignore Spark at the nearby Flame Shrine. All-in-all, it's a very good area to farm, too.

yes that sun temple is the bomb..place your fire altar above it to the rear on the hill behind it, dig your way up if your low level.and each time you reset just glide in from the top, no puzzles needed.I make my way here from game start and do it with all level 1 gear...it sets you up for the rest of the game, that and the other gold chest you find as soon as you glide across to this zone near the sand ruins. The fact that you get all above items shows you dont actually need to summon any of the sleepers,it drops all required potions needed for end game.

Yeah I really like the sun temples. But I find it more fun to boss farm with a chest or 2 with them. I have a video on one of the camps with a chest.

@@Dekaru_ yeah its fun farming to see what you get, but it grows old fast when you have chests full,lol.I am on my third playthrough, my second was a mega build, and this time i am seeing if you can totally complete the entire game without summoning any of the sleepers,so far its pretty easy...charcoal is a problem tho..loot drops for that are few and far between...its needed to upgrade the altar to get into higher level shroud.without the summoned the grind for things like that an goo is full on.Everything else is a piece of cake. Have found 5 obsidian spawn points tho..one was unground whilst digging..cant wait to see what the next update does with it.

If you add a couple blocks and a grapple, you can make this a 2 second chest like the others 2 second chest locations, I found this to be better then the others because there are no mobs around.

BTW a base on the mounatins behind the Nomad spire is legit the bomb..you can literally with a tower in your base and best glider nearly fly across most of map...give it a try when you build one.Your base and then tower is automatically higher than any of the spires.

I play for the building and the grind. I like to cruise through the dungeons so the chest farming was built for people like me I feel. And I appreciate the Devs for not patching it out. This is kind of a way to a creative mode in my opinion.

After you Return to Main Menu you can just press: space -> a -> space -> space .. much faster then mouse clicking :) you dont even have to wait the screen to be shown .. if you do it right you just see a black screen and after the presses a load screen. for the chest you can use a hook thing with a 2 tall wall on the edge of ur circle .. thanks for sharing the spot!

BTW .. just below that place - in the shroud - there is a small dock with nice unprotected iron deposit .. that respawns just like the chest does

the same place I found 3 days ago, added a block and grapple pull for it, takes about 2 sec to loot and restart. I have boxes worth of stuff but no plus 1 to all rings yet.

I added an altar to this location and farmed for 15 minutes. I hauled in 35 items. Out of those, 14 were new to me, and I've been playing for a while. Yep, Great Guide. I found this on my very first run and milked the hell out of it lol... More efficient than putting the flame next to the sun tower up the way that most show.. You can get all 3 sets in like 30min - hr plus the legendary. actually doing this is not cheating because either way you will have to log out to reset any of the chests to hit them again. that being said it is not cheating especially if you have already done the grind to build your first character as they say without cheating. After that your just making other builds and this is way more efficient. The only issue i do have with it is that you can make an Lvl 1 character and he/she can wear the good stuff right off without consideration for the lvl of the character. And for those Haters, I grinded every mm of the entire map before i got there, so yeah when i did I earned it!

A couple of things should be mentioned. One you have to have updraft for that route, and even level six flame will not protect you from that shroud if you fall in.

@@Dekaru_I missed the jump for the rock and fell in. I immediately got the "Deadly Shroud" warning. So its even higher than flame level 6. I've seen several spots of that out and about. Anyway, thanks for the response.

The problem is that many people, including me, have a problem with a very long exit from the game to the main menu, which sometimes takes up to several minutes or even takes forever to load. The save is probably to blame, as it loads quickly on a new character. So this restart method is not optimal.

Just get the glider first, can be obtained at lvl 1 , just takes altar and building abuse.

Problem with chest farming, you will get a bug after. Me after farming the famous ornate gold chest on the southwest of zephyr on the south, lost map icons and fast travel to ancient spire. After farming the same chest on the shroud root near the eldermeer dam, lost the ability to mine resources. So basically can't do anything until it will be fix or just create a new game. This makes me notice why streamer have 2 worlds on their menu when farming, because the other world was already bugged.

I haven't been farming chests and I got the same bug where spires are missing on the map. Workaround seems to be logout/login.

Hey guys have you try Sapphire Strand area there are 2 gold, 3 silver and couple of regular chests. I was getting common to legendary items. The last silver is locked need lockpick. I was getting legendary items from the silver chest.

It is possible to get those items from silver chests but it is a lower drop chance.

Does this same method work on a server with 2 players? I did this same thing with the altar, it does not encompass the chest, but when I close out and come back, the chest is empty?

it only works on a server every 30 minutes if no one is in the area instant respawn only works on a private local session

It will work with 2 players if you are hosting local but as soon as the host disconnects both players will disconnect from the world. Now on a dedicated server the server will have to be restarted each time disconnecting everybody. But it will still work yes. You just take a chance at annoying others haha

bro just farm any gold chest there , in 30 mins you will have all needed weapons,armour and a tonne of gold as you sell unwanted weapons.This mechanic is broken.You can get there from the game start at level 1 and kit out for rest of game.

The iteams are esencial for the game, but the most op items dont make you easy game, just doeble. You need to hone alot of skill to be able to take advantage and still can die if you miss a stepp or dont be carefull. So chest farm isnt such a exploit as some sugest. In me option the game is about exploration and for me i whould be rather if they made the nodes easier to farm lets say resources per hit, like copper ect. If they want they can just make the deposits smaller to run around map more but not to mine for half a hour and get 50 copper ore that smelts only for 25 ingets and same goes for other ores. But i gues there is that repair is free so later if i build all i whould not need to farm them as much.

I don't Diss but I agree loot early on makes the early game easier. So why do a video so late in the game ? A gold chest same mechanic you can get to before the major grind like level 5 would be one I encourage....not this rince and repeat so late in the game....my 2 cents and no judgement on you my friend :-)
