In 1952, the Seeburg jukebox company brought to market a set of "library units" for use in homes and in commercial/institutional applications where the coin operation and song selection features of a standard jukebox would have been inappropriate. Examples of this might be factories, office buildings, and private clubs. The library units were also used to provide automatic record playing at certain radio stations during hours where a human operator was unavailable.

Just found a Seeburg Selectomatic with a bodine motor tonight. I appreciate your video, as I'm trying to troubleshoot issue with my own device. So far, motor heats up but doesn't turn but I'm only about 3 hours into working on it (complete novice).

Where do you find the run capacitors? My 200c-1 takes a dual .75 mfd/.75 mfd @330 vac. I can't find anything that will work.

My SS 160 picks up selected records, then immediately rejects the record. Sometimes after selecting several records it starts working, any help would be appreciated. It seems that many others have had the same problem.

+Farmer Doug Mind you, I'm not an expert on old jukeboxes and the like, but I do often play with old electromechanical devices. So, here's my thoughts, for what they're worth. It sounds to me like dirty (oxidized) switch or relay contacts. I know my dad's old M100C had bad problems with oxidized contacts after it sat in storage for a couple of years. Another possibility is a sticky switch or contact pivot due to dried out lubricant - similar to how stereo record players gum up when they get old. If it's oxidized contacts, contact cleaner, followed by several cycles of use, should clear up the problem. It may be easier/faster to clean the contact points by hand if they're accessible. If it's gunky grease, clean out the old grease and relubricate. I hope this helps.
