It's a felony here in Arkansas to mistreat or abuse animals; AS IT SHOULD BE.

Thank God for rescuers! Absolutely no excuse for this neglect and disregard for ANY life, especially those that can't speak for themselves!!

Unfortunately, mental health issues means that those owners just don't... Realize the wrong they're doing and the harm they're causing. The woman who lives in these conditions was most likely completely delusional and had no idea that she was causing immense suffering. And she probably won't get the care she needs either. Will just be sent back home to live in absolute squalor.

When the news article started I thought it was going to be about some animal right loonies breaking into your facility to rescue the wolves and lions and set them free. While I'm glad that was not the case, I am glad you were there as part of the team to help those animals get the attention they need. Keep up the good work, James! You're the best advocate our quadrupedal friends have!

It's so wonderful to hear that the animals are in good hands now & I hope the Community can get together to Support them. Thanks again James for informing us all about this situation 🤗💖Check out @LionDad_1987 for more Animal Education!!🙀

It is just a really sad situation all round. I can not abide animal cruelty but I do hope the person who is mentally unwell and responsible for the condition the animals were living in gets help also. People should not have to live in that condition either especially when it is obvious that they don't know any better. Thank you James and your friends for doing what you did and for doing it under such appalling circumstances 😢

Here in the Phoenix valley we recently arrested and charged a woman for the deplorable conditions she kept dogs in need of medical care for owners. It took a couple of visits but the animals were finally rescued and rehomed or returned to owners. A few had to be euthanized, there were dead dogs in a freezer, and the woman's elderly mom (grandma??) was living in the house as well. God bless all of you who fight for these animals! ❤

Hi James, I hope you're doing okay. It breaks my heart to see this kind of situation, and I know it was difficult and heartbreaking for you. It's really sad that things like this happen. Did anyone go back to check on or find the barking dog and the cat? I hope the woman gets taken care of, she must have been unable to care for the animals due to illness. That's no excuse for not seeking help, but perhaps she had no way of contacting anyone, or was too ill to do so. I don't know. I'm so glad that the animals will be taken care of now thanks to the rescue crew (and you) that got them all (I hope) out of there. Stay strong, be proud that you take such good care of your babies at work and at home. They know you have a big ❤ and they give love right back! You are awesome at what you do!

I don't know if it hurts more or less that the woman who owned this property most likely had no idea of the harm she was causing due to mental health issues. But it definitely hurts a lot that she will not receive the mental care she needs either, and will just be sent back to her squalid home. It's a tragedy on all fronts.

I lived on the grounds of Metropolitan State Hospital 2017-18, where every week I had unique coyote encounters. I just have always been good with animals and with Native American Indian ethos kept calm, even when a coyote would be an arm's length away. They are so awesome, majestic too not pests. Lots of squirrels, raccoons, hawks too.

Wow why do people do this😢 We have 3 GSD'S and a snake and our home is very clean but I take very good care of the animals and I clean. You have to want to clean if you have animals in your home. They are a lot of work but it's not the animals fault they NEED you to take care of them and give them the proper environment as you would for humans.

If you have no intentions of taking care of an animal, don't get any. No shame in not being an animal person. Just stay away from them. This kind of horror is as baffling as it is unnecessary.

😢 poor animals. So sad how ppl treat them. I get that sometimes you feel bad and u want to rescue them all but then you get overwhelmed and then you become the problem and they end up just as they were before you rescued them or worse they died because you didn't help them when you could no matter how this disease you have works for the horders. Just reach out to get help, help you so u can better help them. There got to be a charge for them having a monkey that he had to get off the black market.

Pet hoarding by unqualified unprofessional novices should be made a crime. Anything over 3 animals should be licensed and proceeds from fines issued by authorities should be donated to qualified animal carers.
