Celeste is French, it’s pronounced Sell-est ( like jest, test or rest). Some of the name spellings were ridiculous, like Eain or Ean. I always thought Schreave was pronounced live sh-reeve.

Why did she have to go and make up some damm hard names! I had a friend (ex friend fro different reasons) and she said it was too hard for her to pronounce Maxon so she would say something in the lines of Prince Max or Maximous or some sh** like that. And i went its not that hard like wtf??

what gets me is we got America, Kris, Maxon, Aspen from the trilogy and got nightmares like Eadlyn, Osten, Kile....like what gives? For most of the heir, i didn't even sound out Eadlyn's name, I just looked at it and recognized it. Same with Schreave. I only learned how it's supposed to sound after this video. Also, my brain kept seeing "Madrid" whenever Marid was written XD

I listened to the Heir on audiobook, but read the regular book for the Crown. It took me a bit to try to match the spellings to the names I heard. Ahren and Osten really got me at first. Like, who are these people and where did they from?

As a Finnish fan I can say that Henri is pronounced just like the name Henry and Jaakoppi was close but not quite. It's like a German yes 'ja'+ cop+ pee(tho short... like pe) but then again Finnish is damn hard xD Maybe I should make a video about this

In all fairness 90% of these names had easier spellings and the writer just chose prettier harder versions so technically it’s the riders fall that those names are so hard and therefore as the reader I have every right to save them how I feel.
