Hey Zister! When we covered KLAC back in March, we ended up buying ONTO instead, so we still got in on the run-up! But now we are adding to KLAC, still looks cheap. As for SMCI, that was a Billy D. pick! Props to him for originally pointing that one out back in 2018, I think. We do cover robotics, and have looked at SYM before! What do you like about the company? We will delve into this market further for sure.

Thank you! Not sure who said that, but that's quite the statement. GSI did just patent a new APU, but overall not sure this is at all an apples-to-apples comp to Nvidia. Lot of hype out there right now. Wild claims will be made during times like this.

Hey there, thank you for watching! So... we can't give you personal advice. But we'll say this. AMAT is the generalist and is a broad based play on semiconductors. KLAC is a specialist covering one specific area of chip fabs. Which type of business do you think you need more of in your portfolio? Try to answer that question first.

Hey Norman, you are the first someone has mentioned owning Siltronic. That's awesome! What do you like about the business? From our viewpoint, this seems to be a commodity business, and overall growth is slow and cyclical. If the stock were cheap enough (on a forward looking basis), we'd always consider making a purchase. In the meantime, we see better opportunities elsewhere. But that certainly doesn't mean we are correct in our assessment. Please do share! BTW, we will likely add a second index covering the silicon boule base material market.

AHER reports earnings 7/20, they will talk about ? fiscal earnings end of month? I agree, this stock is volatile. It has a niche, good prospects and earnings. I sold too because the chart looks like the stock is being sold off. I hate trading because it's hard to know when to stop. I'll buy it back. I sold ACLS also. Investor sentiment at 1 year high, 45.5% worries me, lol. Fancy chart buy the genius.

Hey Carol! We were anticipating an earnings release end of June (since the last one was end of March), but you are correct. Last year, the fiscal Q4 report wasn't until July. Either way, AEHR hasn't provided a date yet... waiting on bated breath here. ACLS also looks similarly "frothy," congrats on catching that run-up! Same here for us, we generally do not trade, but some of these stocks look like they've gotten ahead of themselves, at least for the short term. Kasey is a genius!

Thanks this is cool. So the question here is how much of this is already priced in into Intel's and Samsung's new facilities being built in Arizona, Texas, and in Korea. Just read today that Samsung is planning 160 billion investments in new foundries in Korea only as an ambitios plan to take TSMC from the top and become world's number 1

Great question! By and large, we think growth from new fab development hasn't been priced in yet, given that the fab equipment market is overall in a cyclical slump this year. As these companies get closer to fiscal 2024 and provide some guidance, we think they'll really heat up. Market tends not to forecast too far into the future for this segment, which provides opportunity for some reasonably valued purchases -- like AMAT and KLAC, for example!
