The Sephiroth Kill Setup

I've been using this setup and bagging way too many kills with it so figured it's definitely worthy.
Some details to note:
This is a medium risk - extremely high reward setup.
Stupid easy to pull off.
F-throw sets up into tech chase situations best for this around mid/high percent. At very high percents F-throw gets easier to tech and at low percents I've found you don't have enough time to get out the Octaslash hitboxes to punish.

@@ojutay8375 RAR canceled dash, into a spaced dble jump megaflare to strike the lip of the stage :) It invalidates so many recovery options! Basically if you aren't a teleporter, Villy or Rob, or Yoshi, etc. Someone who can bypass or stall their recovery in other words, you're forced to recover into it or perish if the Sephy times all this right~

I feel like this setup would work better offline when you’re able to execute it on reaction instead of guessing your opponents option. But onto the setup itself: this could work well on picking up someones habits, and the fact that it works on a lot of the common get-up options makes it better! Overall I’d say this is a good mix up to catch your opponents off guard.

This was GREAT - thank you for this upload and all you included! Another great combo for me was the same setup (Grab -> forward throw), but I use a fully charged Shadow Flare instead. It works for me a lot of the time, but this is also great, too. :)

I've stolen more Stocks than I can count, lol! My personal favorite setup is tripping my opponent up, doing a backflip to send them up in the air and then DESTROY them with Octaslash! I discovered this unique setup during one of my fights in Mishima Dojo and so far it's my favorite combo attack! I even did a reverse Octaslash on Joker once in the King of Fighters' Stadium! For this attack, I struck Joker into the left wall, allowed him to bounce off of it and then I used Octaslash in the opposite direction where the wall had sent him, causing him to crash into the right wall and then I finished him off with another powerful Octaslash, taking his final Stock, too! =3

Be careful because if the opponent used the shield he punishes you as he wants as an alternative to octaslash you can use the dawn smash in my opinion it is a better option.

This character is a damn nightmare but I highly respect you for not only finding the tech, but sharing it as well. Nice. Leffen was right when he said Octaslash broken. So many mixups into it and it's fatal. This setup would be great as a meta check too. Does your opponent know how to fight Seph in neutral? > Yes Be cautious and maintain space, mix up properly, never miss an opportunity to gain advantage or punish whiffs, etc. leading into prime ledge trap options > No Knock 'em offstage and INITIATE THE G I G A F L A R E Alternately, psyche 'em out and throw out Scintilla as they come back in.

All in all it seems it's all about the distance they have between you and the ledge. You want to throw them so that they hit the ground, and that no matter what option they take - whether it's roll away or towards - they get caught in the octoslash

Depends on your spacing. Octaslash has such a big hitbox might just catch you jumping too. I'd say shield it and then you can hard punish however you like.

I recommend not using joy cons. Sorry I can't really speak to that question because I'm not sure how to use tilts with them. Maybe it's similar to a soft angle input with directional stick and "A button"

I've been doing this since launch (It was instinct, because I do the same with Flare Blitz and Wonderwing). But Octoslash takes too long to charge, and if an opponent misses the tech, they have already noticed the Octoslash pose and they'll wait to get up attack me or roll out of it and then punish. It stopped working reliably and it's more of a YOLO tactic IMO.
