When I did this, I was a bit sad by how quickly and easily they tell you who the killer is. Mooney spends like 20 minutes accusing the entire neighbourhood of serial murder. And I am very happy that he did.

The Hokkaido target being the different features that he’s got such as nose or ears covered and so on, Diana giving you the tips to identify him. And the Chen one also being someone you need to identify.

about that sketchy basement: If you sidestep in teh story to "make the old man's day" he will eventually get out of his house and talk to the woman owning that basement. they talk about how she has a "gift" and should continue with it. there's also that house that is sold where one room has a lot of blood. if you do the tour of that house you'll hear how the previous owner had an extreme allergic reaction or was poisoned. In other words, the owner of that basement poisoned and killed the dead neighbour with her muffins. nevermind that that basement also has poisons and an incenirator
