Please join me for an unboxing and discussion of Worthington Publishing's third installment in the Civil War Brigade Battle Series - The Seven Days Battles 1862, by Grant Wylie. Grant was kind enough to send me this (along with some other interesting titles) and I wanted share with you the contents - 2 double-sided mounted maps, 4 pre-rounded counter sheets, 2 thick player aids, 8 page series rule book, and 12 page playbook with 8 scenarios covering 4 battles (2 scenarios linking 2 of the battles) during the The Seven Days Battles, a series of American Civil War battles in which a Confederate army under General Robert E. Lee drove back General George B. McClellan’s Union forces and thwarted the Northern attempt to capture the Confederate capital of Richmond, Virginia. McClellan was forced to retreat from a position 4 miles (6 km) east of the Confederate capital to a new base of operations at Harrison’s Landing on the James River. The Seven Days began on Wednesday, June 25, 1862, with a Union attack in the minor Battle of Oak Grove, but McClellan quickly lost the initiative as Lee began a series of attacks at Beaver Dam Creek (Mechanicsville) on June 26, Gaines's Mill on June 27, the minor actions at Garnett's and Golding's Farm on June 27 and 28, and the attack on the Union rear guard at Savage's Station on June 29. McClellan's Army of the Potomac continued its retreat toward the safety of Harrison's Landing on the James River. Lee's final opportunity to intercept the Union Army was at the Battle of Glendale on June 30, but poorly executed orders and the delay of Stonewall Jackson's troops allowed his enemy to escape to a strong defensive position on Malvern Hill. At the Battle of Malvern Hill on July 1, Lee launched futile frontal assaults and suffered heavy casualties in the face of strong infantry and artillery defenses.

Love looking into the box, but it's a double-edged sword

I have the game and have played a few of the smaller scenarios. I don't know if you noticed or not, but the game contained the Shiloh player aid and not the 7 Days battle player aid. They posted the correct one on BGG if I recall correctly.
