i encourage everyone to read a book called “the seven deadly sins of narcissism” by sandy hotchkiss. as you read it, you’ll be able to figure out what makes a narcissist tick. having read it multiple times, i can confidently say that ALR is a narcissist.

Oooh I haven’t heard of that book so it’s definitely something to look into! I know someone who wrote about Amber for a psychology class and examined her narcissistic tendencies-there are soooooo many. But ALR can never look in the mirror and acknowledge this. It's so interesting to see the differences in spending and consumption among adults who grew up as impoverished kids... I would like to remind everyone that our hunter-gatherer ancestors used to walk for hours on end, and even with the advent of agriculture alot of us continued to do so. 8 hours of walking/standing around at Six Flags in flip flops knocked me out within 30 seconds of me hitting the bed, I wish I could fall asleep that quick every night.

That giant sushi roll vid is the ONLY ALR video I’ve ever commented on. It was years ago and I commented that that amount of sushi would be enough for my family of 4 to share for lunch. People came for me big time saying that portion is a portion for one. Maybe in the states it’s a single portion for some people, but where I live that is an insane amount for 1 person in one sitting.

As an American lemme shed some light! America has a big leftover culture (since our work culture is horrible) so usually you will make/buy food and it’ll always be a large enough portion for you to save some and eat the next day or over a couple days. The problem is in America is that for decades there was also the teaching of eating everything on your plate (this comes from WW2 where everything was limited) so as left over culture got bigger and cleaning off your plate got bigger now us Americans have a big single size portions of food which most of us usually save as leftovers but those taught to finish their plate will eat all of it. Actually it’s even in recent times become a big generational issue as even if you’re full and have leftovers you will feel the guilt to finish it all because of the whole “There are starving people who would be grateful for that” “If you don’t finish your plate you have to sit at the table until you do” and the biggest one “It’s a waste of perfectly good food if you don’t finish it! You’re wasting money!” Btw all of these are told and ingrained into American children from a very young age. So yeah that’s the best way I can put it to non Americans

@@ThatOneFur I never quite got the 'starving people would love to have it' as if I was gonna throw away the rest when I got full. I grew up lower middle class, no chance was I gonna actually waste food without getting an earful. But yeah the pressure to eat everything in one sitting for years on end will make you gain lots of weight. And us kids and alot of adults spend most of our days sitting at desks all day, not burning it off. Alot of kids aren't being encouraged to play outside anymore either because parents are too paranoid about something happening to them (which also hurts them mentally). Imo if you *really* like something, why not save it for later?

Came here to say too: many Americans feel "scammed" or upset if they pay for a meal and it's not enough food for them/the portion is smaller than they're used to. Then they complain and they won't return to the restaurant because they feel like it wasn't worth the money if they don't leave full. Many restaurants that sell pasta, for example, will serve anywhere from 2-4 servings in a single entree. Plus, a lot of Americans have no concept of serving size. They may know what it is, but not what it looks like, and will often underestimate how many servings they're actually eating

When she hits 600 when she hits 700 when she hits 800 when she hits 1,000 POUNDS SHE WILL STILL BE LIKE “omg guys I walked around for 2 minutes 🥹☺️💕I’m so proud of myself!” When she is at the literal cusp of death she will probably think “well I tried my best😄🥳” Like- brother there is NO holding herself accountable for anything, theres a difference between acknowledging your accomplishments and being complacent.
