I was actually wondering if the re up's 7 endings was supposed to thematically tie in with 7 sins Mr. Lorre- lust Nicole- gluttony because of her ending with Ari? Mr. Katz/drugs ending- greed Megan or NIcole really- wrath Ari- envy maybe Emily- sloth Ms. Ames- pride All of these characters caused the ending to play out one way or another and is connected to a sin. But I would need to explain for some of them. Nicole/Ari breakup ending: I think this is gluttony because Nicole takes advantage of Ari, for sex, abuse, entertainment of abusing, Ari's Lexus, buying of Five Guys, and ordering her to get chicken sandwiches. Also notice, this route does contain mention of food, but I think the use of Ari is more thematic. Nicole doesn't see a problem in indulging herself, as she thinks that abusing her is potentially good to be a teaching experience for Ari. Mr. Katz/Prison ending: Nicole tries making illegal money, although not on that big of a scale, is still her making money using drugs at the cost of others. She supposedly sold crack to a pregnant woman, and keeps the drug trade going after Braxton wasn't able to deliver crack to a gang. The ending scene also plays into this well; when Jecka says Nicole is white. If you want to get on Parasite level analysis, Ms. Lynn can be seen as the highest economic class, since she takes advantage of her body, uses her powers to avoid scandals and be negligent to keep her well paying job, and Nicole thinks about shooting/torturing her. Ari- Ari is a bit of a standout from the rest of the female cast. She is commonly recognized as a morally good character. It's what makes her monologue on wanting Nicole surprising, prompting Nicole to tell her to get therapy, when we all know the whole cast needs it. However, I see this as envy because Ari might not really be all that she said. Sure, she self harms, but Nicole never comments on any deranged behavior when she is in the hostage friendships. It's a bit of a one off thing, which leads me to believe Ari isn't that damaged, and doesn't quite have the identity the other girls do. This is even foreshadowed when Jecka says mental disorders are easy to fake. The whole ending is also caused by the straight club, which is obviously envy if you watch the route. Emily- Emily is often described as psychotic, and is also described as a hotter bitch by Nicole. What this has to do with sloth, is in my opinion Emily's lack of regard for her health, since she does commit suicide. Her self-destructive tendencies is relatable to me at least, and often self-destruction can be seen as a lack of regard to responsibility, the one of making a fulfilled life. She is more extreme and even stops taking her anti-schizophrenic medication for this reason. What makes a hot bitch in Nicole's eyes, is not caring about herself and being self-destructive, which was maybe true for this setting, or y'know, 15-18 years ago. Ms. Ames- Where I noticed her pride is her trying to promote and convince her class to follow her teaching and behaviors to become a well thought member of society. Pom juice being healthy(I think, no idea what it is), trying to get her class to consume media that is educational, is feminist to the point of saying Hilary not being president was misogynistic, and is probably an advocate for a better world or something. Ms. Ames falls because her pride is unearned- she's racist. She's not a good member of society because of this. The whole school being sued is also seen as negligence, reasons being Ms. Lynn, obviously, and the school saying Jew as an insult, ima be honest, did not really care for that line.

I personally think Emily is better suited for wrath; she canonically strangled Kelly because she said she wasn't as pretty as Fergie, threatened to jump Nicole if she backed out of the suicide pact, told Ari she wanted to look at her while she stabbed her, slashed her ex-boyfriend's tires, and killed herself because she wanted to get back at Ms. Ames. That seems like some decent evidence to place her under wrath.

I personally think sins refer to one's choices. So why I disagree is that the setting forces the female cast to be bitchy in some way. Forcing Nicole to participate is not wrath; she does not bear ill intent towards Nicole.
