Let's not kid ourselves here. Even if a Benkei-expy does make a game appearance, that individual likely won't actually use all seven of Benkei's weapons. They might have them on-person for visual flair, but the character likely won't actually use any except their main weapon. To be honest, even that's a stretch at this stage as the samurai faction already has users of at least three of Benkai's more readily used weapons the naginata, the tetsubo, and the kama.

@@tomurasghost1792it’s heavy because if it is actually benkei himself he was a big boy who stood just under 7 ft tall, a heavier character would make more sense since kyoshin was more of a fast character. Although that’s probably doesn’t mean much big men can be very agile

We already have oxelotl's 4th feat, lawbringer's longarm, glad's skewer. Ubi being ubi might just repurpose it. Also I hope he at least has a moveset, pirate is good even without feats.

you know what would be really cool (and maybe controversial) is if this new benkei hero only used one weapon associated with the samurais and his other weapons are from the other factions or cultures we have yet to see in forhonor that would be way more interesting and also expand the forhonor world as well

Im hoping for a new assassin/hybrid class, where you can deflect and choose different inputs for different deflects. Light deflect could be a bleed attack with the saw/rake , heavy deflect could be just regular damage with sickle or something else, and there could be a bash deflect that would drain stam and wallsplat with the mallet. Crushing counters would be cool too, different directions being different weapons (whichever is closest to the attack being thrown). I got high hopes, but ny expectations are probably way too high. It better not be another infinite chain hero. So tired of characters being boring and broken.

i think it's a hybrid because he switches weapon and he got some very heavy weapons and at the same time fast light weapon. when you talk about shinobi i felt my broken heart again . I love the original moveset of shinobi the new one is powerfull yet one of the most boring one's really like the original you think we could ever see it back

Ideally I would like to see most, if not all, his weapons used in game like certain weapons used during specific chain enders or something, but I have the feeling that his weapons will be for show or will only be used in executions or feats. Hoping Ubisoft actually gets creative with him

The devs didn't say that they said the new samurai will be a master of multiple weapons hence the inspiration from benkei and the current gender pattern the devs are following since year 5 is that the male hero releases in the second season and the female hero in the fourth season and the last hero released varangian was female so by the logic of the gender release pattern the new samurai will be male.

@@THELASTDUSKX The outlander WILL be female the male hero always comes first in the release order since year 5 and have you seen the new hero's silhouette it's too big and bulky to be female and plus, the new hero is inspired by BENKEI and the entire season is inspired by the bridge duel between him and yoshitsune who is the inspiration for the hero skin.
