I agree. There are so many sewing books out there and they all have their good and bad points. This book has been the one that's had the most good points for me and the book with the best photo instructions too. :)

Looks like a cool book to start. I'm new to sewing so I wanna learn about seams, threads, needles , & fabric. Do you know of any books not so gender based as far as home projects for men such as items for school or sports or workshop? Even home or office furnishings?
