Trust me the damage and stagger are unintended features. Soon it will have 10 damage and instead of staggering enemies, itll pull them towards you

I find it a little too low damage to be able to effectively deal with hordes. Fun tho

It's great for it's stagger but you need a guard dog to support Cookout's lack of damage.
