I remember watching this with my father when I was around 7 or 8 and it scared the SHIT outta me, it doesn't scare me anymore but it's still one of my favorite to watch. This movie sparked my interests in aliens and all of that kinda stuff so it holds a very dear place in my heart. So glad I found it here, I couldn't find it on ANY streaming service

27:32 Gotta say, I like how the Shadow Men behave. For a tv movie there's a lot of good performances here. The simple asking for a coca cola instead of tea of coffee (and then never drinking it), the way the one asking the questions sits and moves in an unnatural way, some real nice details there.

The actor that plays the father is Eric Roberts.He played in the movie :The pope of Greenwich Village:.
@dannydan37776 жыл бұрын
fairybits & "Star 80"..& 588 more films!! He's Julia Robert's brother, actually,HE trained her and got her the fancy ticket to Stardom,, and she thanked him by supporting his ex-girlfriend during a custody battle that she ultimately won, and THEN she ignored him for two decades. A bitch of a sister! Eric is an extremely talented,but sadly underrated actor. Some blame it on his traffic accident that nearly cost him his life in the early 80s,but Eric has admitted it's partly to do with his drug addiction back in the day, luckily he kicked that "hobby" in the early 90s b/c his wife Eliza said,"it's either me or the drugs",-I'm glad he chose her. They've stayed together now since 1992!! So Eric is not the sleazy womanizer like some people claim. That kind of solid marriage based on true love is rare in "HollyWeird" !!.

From my understanding, the men in black speak in somewhat monotone voices and tend to repeat things - as if attempting to hypnotize people. Some people claim they felt an incredible amount of fear and intimidation from them. This movie is interesting but, I wish the acting was more in line with the real deal. Perhaps when this movie was made such details were not widely known.

Hey for a bare bones movie without a huge budget and special effects this movie even with its hokeyness had a compelling story line and characters. I think this movie was just a little ahead of its time and maybe over some peoples heads who just want to see explosions and CGI for an hour. This is the birth of men in black. For a B movie I give it a 9.

This movie first aired on HBO and I can tell anyone reading this that this isn't the full movie. There is an entire section edited out at the end. What's missing is when they were at the house near the end and the MIB were getting ready to kill them, Dean Stockwell's character gets out of his hummer, and says to the MIB "You don't need to kill them", they aren't going to say anything to anyone, they've had enough, they will give you the tape if you leave them alone, all they want to do is be left alone. It was something like that, but it should have been left in the movie. I just wanted to share that with everyone.

My only comment, and believe me, I am not criticizing any commentators. I enjoyed the movie a lot. My escape night from a heavy work load today. I wish only one thing, that these alien movies trying to be realistic (and I am sure the writing was much more believable) how is it that these space/sci-fi films have aliens that in order to have reached earth as light beings turned into human physical ones to look more "human-like so as to not be captured, they are body transmigration experts just to get here, right? Then why can't they just dissolve objects they want, dissovle the humans or themselves into invisible beings. Instead they use guns and fight, have car chases. Well, its obvious. If they could get what they want with ease, there'd be no scenes, no excitement. Like I say, I still enjoyed the movie.
