What I love about these instrumentals focusing on Meg´s slide- besides a thousand other things I like about LP- is the way their dynamics work. Rebecca goes in there trying to play it cool and leave the focus on Meg. Then Meg does her thing and Rebecca can´t help but smile, because it´s all so goddamn beautiful (and she seems to be the more extrovert part in general, which makes her the perfect front woman) Then Meg starts to notice how much joy Rebecca has with the whole thing, which again makes Meg smile. And so they´re pushing each other. And from the viewers standpoint this is just sooo fun to watch. I always loved "Apache" and I love the way they play it.

Rebecca has more soul in her left pinkie finger than most women out there calling themselves singers today.They're both extraordinarily gifted! What I find interesting is learning what music they like. After hearing so many of these "tipping of the hat" songs by them, now I know why they are such great artists. They are inspired by and love the truly great artists that came before them. Did you know that Megan is a big fan of Pink Floyd and said that if she could meet one musician it would be David Gilmour. Now that says a lot!
