It's really frustrating, but I simply wanted to point out that people dislike this drama because the main characters' romance is shown very little compared to other rom-com dramas. However, in my opinion, this drama is excellent. The leads performances are equally excellent, and the plot is really realistic. Because when two childhood best friends become lovers, it is extremely tough to accept these changes because they know everything about each other, from their past to present.Accepting something takes time. A little awkwardness also appears. The director has presented these things very well. This drama feels extremely realistic to me. Netizens are always looking for over-the-top romances. Something that never occurs in real life.

This drama is AMAZING. I am sick of the typical romance drama. This drama is very MATURE, emotional, frustrating and comforting. There’s a lot of emotions and it’s a drama not catered to teens. I personally think people are nitpicking. As for the English issues- blame the hiring team. Actors can only do so much in the short time.

I'm totally obsessed with this series! It just feels so real and the way the writers develop each character is so relatable. I love that it's not like your typical cheesy romcom Korean dramas. The actors and actresses in this show are absolutely amazing, especially the chemistry between the female lead and the male lead. Their childhood friendship adds such a unique dynamic to their relationship. It's refreshing to see a storyline like this in South Korea. As an international fan, I think the writers, actors, and crew are doing an incredible job. Thank you for bringing out all the emotions and creating such a fantastic storyline.

There is humor in the series but this is not a comedy. I've been part of family situations which were eerily similar to the cancer dynamic and the complex relationship between mother and daughter depicted here. I find it very realistic and am anxious for the next episodes. The lead characters have almost 30 years of an extremely complex relationship to work through and there will be more bumps in the road before we're through.

I'm loving the series and I love the supporting cast. I think cast is doing a remarkable job with the script and they are to convey love and caring for one another ( all cast members), through their acting. As for the struggles with the English parts, I give them grace, as I know I wouldn't be half as good speaking Korean in their country. Everyone gets points for trying either way right? I love the childhood friend to lovers trope! I'm going to ride with this series.

Movies and dramas are ways of relflecting the reality we live in deliberately. Writers don't just create something that doesn't exist at all, that would be fantasy not a rom-com. Every trope in this drama is so real and relatable. A drama is not made just to entertain but also to teach. I really appreciate K-dramas that are connected to reality at least to some extent. and this drama is one of them next to QOT. You guys just don't know how to appreciate things, and just look for dramas that feed your delusions and fantasies...

Love this drama! 🩵 The leads are carrying the performances well and there’s widespread interest in the drama in general. There’s great chemistry throughout the cast and there are realistic themes so many resonate with. It’s definitely doing pretty decently on Netflix, so I think it’s a bit unfair to only nitpick the flaws because no drama is going to be flawless 🤷🏻‍♀️

They have chemistry but the writer failed them by making one character have a one sided love. When the male and female lead have more romantic scenes with their exes than each other, there is a major problem. Also, the script writer had no way of knowing their show would air after hit shows that used the same tropes as they did. Thus, making them seem like they were copying even though all of the shows were all released this year so common sense would reveal that none of the writers of these shows had time to even think about copying plot points from one another. At least it's doing well internationally, but it's a shame the script isn't as good as it could have been. Overall, it's still good.

But overall, there's only so many ways a couple falls in love and the show is doing a good job portraying a friendship that turns to romantic love. Also, most people go through similar situations or know someone who has experienced things such as cancer, health concerns, lost jobs, and failed relationships. So, the show really shouldn't be criticized for using things that are commonly seen in reality. Hopefully, people will realize that everything doesn't have to be compared or viewed as a competition; every one can enjoy multiple shows/things at once.

Actually the synopsis is very accurate because of the following reasons entire story is an insult to talented actors and why they had to add English dialogs ??? ml character is written to behave like petulant child fl character is snarky and annoying fl ml pairing is wayy offfff asf plot holes and fl mother is always excessively shouting mother beating her 30+ yr old daughter is not appealing or funny both fl ml characters have no growth in dealing problems in spite of being independent throughout their adult life writers should not make a joke out of terminal disease Romcom should be romcom this sad and angry lash out and mix of something that is just sad
