This is so cool!! The only thing I love as much as Monk is learning about my own and other families’ genealogy. Thanks for sharing, Shalhoubs :))

I LOVE her accent. Reminds me of my grandmother when she was alive hearing her talk. I miss her so much. MONK is my FAV show EVER. This history is a LOT of our history. Beautiful story. Thanks for sharing I wish I had done this with my grandparents.

My family {both sides} came to America from Lebanon and or Syria in 1896! One side wound up in Massachusetts and the other side was from Terre Haute, Indiana... I can completely relate to you and your family 100%! God Bless

I lived in Terre Haute for years and remember the Lebanese community there! The church is beautiful. The mom and pop grocery store down the street was 'Tanoos' (I hope I spelled that correctly). Very family oriented.

@@gemmasky The Tanoos's are related to my family big time!

As I recall, Joseph Shalhoub came to America as an orphan from Lebanon in the 20's at ten years old and ended up in Greenbay Wisconsin. I don't think she's related to Tony Shalhoub.

Millions of people have stories like that or even more intriguing. My point is; where does the story lead that is of interest to the public? Is this Tony Shalhoub's family lineage?

wait, so, is she related to Tony Shalhoub by any chance (I don't remember whether she had mentioned his name)? Fascinating story by the way. :)

Hazel Chief-rabbit I don't think so. Actually I don't know. But the name of the video is Shalhoub. Not Shaloub. I'd like to know that too. Is this his story?

Is this lady related to Tony Shalhoub? If so she has to be his aunt or something because she was born in the forties. Tony says he is second to the youngest in his family and this lady says she is the youngest in her family.
