COLLECTION DEVELOPMENT
A shared catalogue gives a bigger picture of the titles already available across the network, allowing members to make informed choices on acquisitions.
Reporting tools and statistics are also useful for analysing title requests and circulation.
RE-USE
The curated and authoritative resource descriptions from the Share knowledge base can be re-used and adapted locally in individual member catalogues and systems, saving time, effort and expense.
Together, we can leverage the cooperation, data, resources and expertise of libraries around the world to support libraries through the transition from bibliographic data in traditional formats to linked open data.
