The Shark Dive with Ocean Spirit in Mauritius

Shark diving in Mauritius is unique in the world. Deep caverns under the Northern Islands have created washing machine- like currents where sharks can sleep and oxygenate their gills. We dived there yesterday. Why not join us next time we go?

Very impressed at how well you remained steady filming. The wash current when I dived there was horrendous so keeping still was impossible even holding the rocks.

Hi Bob thanks for watching. I cut out the wobbly bits but it was a serious current. Normally we can't approach from that angle so we were lucky to see the whole glorious Cathedral fully occupied.

Hi Bob, We were just lucky. The sharks were still there, but the current had dropped. And I could stabalize my GoPro

it is safe you can visit. shark cave dive. not scuba!

be very careful. there are white sharks also. only for the strong.

Looks amazing! What depth is this dive? I currently have PADI open water 18m and planning to come to Mauritius in November. Would I need to do the Advanced OW?

no. Most dive centers will allow you because the depth is inferior to 18m. But they will check if you're experienced enough. They'll check your logbook to see how many dives you did and probably take you on a check dive, or two. The current is pretty strong, so the dive is pretty stressfull and your taring skills should be really good.

It's 15 m but not suitable for inexperienced divers. You might experience surge and strong currents and managing these is challenging
