@@Mwarrior1991 not with how he had his lineup, Turkey would have only buffed 4 sheep +6/+6 or (24/24) total. Which is typically more favorable than 28/14 but is far more likely to be sniped by another unit (dolphin, hedgehog, pufferfish, snake, etc.). Realistically a kangaroo or snake likely would have performed better than the turkey or shark.

The drawback to not editing your videos is that they're less likely to be shared on social media by fans. NL has a lot of fans but that's cause he's been doing this since 2011.

The chat is saying it shouldn't work like that because the tiger says it only makes effects trigger twice in battle. The penguin buffs at the end of the turn (before battle even starts), so it should not have been affected by the tiger.

@@Mfdechami It works that way on all end of turn and start of turn abilities so I think it's just worded poorly. As a general game design principle it rewards creativity to have more interesting interactions between animals in the game so I see no reason not to allow it to work.

the barrier to entry is so low that it takes like 3 minutes to get plugged in and pogging, unlike more complicated ones such as autochess and hearthstone. it's just cute little sprites with two numbers and a skill

Definitely. One thing I think this game has though is the 'logical endpoint' is short and sweet; e.g. if you break the game in autopets the fights are snappy and at max there are 13 of them, while with LBaL breaking the game resulted in watching the same interaction happen indefinitely. Obviously it was still pogged, but I think that really helps this game out.

42:59 My man did the math for the Tiger>Shark (shark getting +4+2 for each unit that dies before it), but didn't realize Tiger>Turkey added +6+6 for each unit summoned (with a grand total of . One strategy relies on going all in on the shark, the other makes each spawn a sizable threat. With the current format he had, 10 units could die before the shark (giving it +40+20) or each of the 6 spawns would get +6+6 (total = +36+36). It kinda depends a little on what you're facing, but unless your opponent has the worlds most powerful hippo, going wide ends up being better than relying on the shark

I think the play was sell the tiger and buy the fly. The fly essentially makes every unit die twice, so it doubles the shark just like the tiger, but then you also get the extra 2/2. Not always strictly better against all builds, but still.

So shark gives +3 stats per trigger, and Turkey gives +6. However, Shark get's 3 more triggers due to the animals that already exist at the start of battle. So Shark is 3x8, and Turkey is 6x5. So yes, Turkey does provide more raw stats, but, not by much. And also, none of the Turkey stats are Garlic stats, whereas all Shark stats are garlic stats. So I think it is pretty equivalent in this case, with each option having obvious advantages vs certain other builds. The strat that no one was talking about though was replacing the Tiger with Turkey, thus giving the Shark an extra faint AND buffing the summons.

He did have the hearts to spare to fish for their level 2's but that's arguably a fair risk to take when Tiger is already letting one get out of control. You brought up both options having their advantages, and I feel like only having their level one value at that stage in the game leaves him pretty vulnerable to just not having enough stats to win his favorable matchups.

@@unequaledone That makes no sense. Tiger doubles the effects of one of them, so if they are relatively equal, then adding one adds the exact same amount of power. Do you want 2 sharks (shark + tiger), 2 turkeys (turkey + tiger) or one of each (shark + turkey)? If Shark and Turkey are the same power level, then all of these options are equally good.

@@blahthebiste7924 multiplication makes all the difference sometimes. In this case it didn’t matter much, but the raw stat buff difference with the tiger becomes: Shark +6 Turkey +12 So when the unit effects are doubled, the gap between them doubles as well.

Shark vs. Turkey hinges on a critical issue, the issue is how many units do you plan to swap and how confident are you in not getting hippo’d into dust. Overall I agree with NL that Shark was the much stronger play there. On a slightly different scaling run however, like if you had Black Cat to boost canned food for shop animals you can super scale in just a single turn off the back of Black Cat and Turkey, although I don’t know if Black Cat is in the P2W pool.

NL the fly is functionally the same as the tiger since every time an animal dies it gets a second trigger because of the fly that is spawned. Furthermore you end up dealing 2 more damage per each fly that is spawned.

Because of space limitations there are technically two faints where you don't get the fly (but you would still get the tiger buff). When the ram dies it generates two rams and the 1-UP ram, so there is no space for fly (And I seriously hope the 1-UP ram triggers before the fly, but I'm not sure), then when the 1-UP ram dies it generates one ram and there is no space for fly. So the shark gets slightly less buffs and you've made yourself more vulnerable to matching with a build that scales off easy kills like hippo or kangaroo.
