I have been in business since I was 18 years old and I have had ups and downs, the ups were high and the downs were very low. I had to close one business that I worked on for years and managed to make it extremely profitable but in 2008 the Credit Market destroyed it and move into another industry. I have lost much sleep, tossing and turning for days and weeks on end only allowing me to receive 3-4 hours sleep at night. Yet, throughout those hardships I never cried, it never made sense to me to cry in private over business and I certainly will not cry on national television for $400,000 or $400,000,000 or $400,000,000,000!

You have the right idea but the 5% equity kicks in after price less the cost of goods sold. Royalty is also included in the COGS. It should be $22-$2.50-$0.25=$19.25 Kevins equity=.05*19.25+0.25 per unit sold which equals $0.09625+$0.25=$1.2125.
