Honestly, if you are attending that many meetings and/or classes that you contribute nothing to and get nothing out of, then you really need to rethink what you are doing with your life. Or you need to start taking your commitments more seriously. He seems like that co-worker/classmate that somehow never knows what's going on, despite it be repeated over and over in multiple ways. He would have been another one of those people who took the sharks money and then just disappeared- and I think that they all knew it.

This is good in principle but it’s not that easy. Sometimes you’re expected to be in important conversations and other times you need to sit the whole hour for the two minutes that could impact your career. Online meetings in general have become ineffective. If this guy wanted to create a meaningful product, build something that will streamline meetings. The human need he wants to solve for is wasting time, not being in two places at once.

@@Hirijinitus No one's arguing meetings aren't a general waste of time, the studies are out there but what little value there is, you still have to do them unless you're so useless, you really don't never needed to be there in the first place. The dude is a just a clown trying to make a quick buck, he already knows it's a gimmick and just wanted the free advertising and it probably worked. it wouldn't take very much from a Shark Tank boost to get an amount he's comfortable with and bounce out.

At its current state it’s just asking for its customers to be fired or expelled from class If you record a short video that loops eventually someone will notice, let alone when they ask you something The software the company uses to have the virtual meeting may even make it incompatible from one security update Every now and then a meeting that seems unimportant has someone mention something that’s actually critical for the group to know and you having no recollection of it afterwards will make them suspicious also Just watch a video or have something to do outside of the camera like everyone else

This may be the only case where scalability is bad for the product. Imagine a virtual meeting room with 15 people, and 5 of those are pre-recorded videos. Not only that, but the ideal use case for this -- many people in a meeting -- is also the use case where turning off your video and audio is normal and acceptable. So why not just do that instead? This product discourages collaboration, creates suspicion, and if anybody asks you a question, you're busted. "Natural language processing" to make the pre-recorded video answer a question like a normal "you" would is not happening any time soon and this guy is clearly not an expert in the field, so I would be skeptical about it even happening in the first place. I'm out.
