This whole Hudson Yards project over a large railyard is a minor miracle from a structural engineering point of view .

@111danish111 Appreciate Video clip! Excuse me for the intrusion, I would appreciate your initial thoughts. Have you considered - Mahorrla Wooden Paradise Method (do a google search)? It is a smashing one off guide for building better sheds and woodworking without the normal expense. Ive heard some awesome things about it and my m8 at last got cool results with it.

Hi, great job with the video. I'd like to know the flow of the software you guys used to create this. Did you import 3D model from another soft or it was all created in 3Ds max? Thanks.

This is a feat not any architect can pull off. But thanks to the fact that someone *was* able to pull it off, now my Design teacher expects us the entire class to create other types of buildings similar to this one. Therefore I wish this building was never made, as I know for a fact multi-million dollar projects like this are never what 99% of architects tend to work with in the real world.

The last sentence is true...for now, however, in the near future buildings like these may come to fashion because the idea of multi-use spaces and retractable structures creating temporary spaces is VERY energy efficient and responds to many environmental concerns.

I don't understand... what's the point of the wheels and having this thing come out? Why not always have it out and just make the bigger structure permanent? Less upkeep on the mechanics makes things cheaper for essentially the same thing.

The open air shell is never truly connected to the inside. The only part is at 2:03 when they just add a few more chairs to a performance. The only other thing is at 1:05 to lift truck cargo... which at this point is just a glorified crane. It's kind of pointless.

What on earth is the point of going to all the expense and inefficiency of constructing a shelter that you can roll away?! Just use the ****ing roof!
@freezerlunik

The point is in satisfying the constraint of this structure sometimes spanning private as well as public property depending on the size of an event. The plaza is meant to be a public space when no special event is taking place.

the cultural shed??💁💁💁💁 I'm getting images in my brain, of Roy Clark and Dolly Parton with the Shenandoah Hillbilly wash board band....inside a tool shed with saw dust on the ground...yodeling and playing harmonics , while uncle Clem and his pointer "old yeller"... sit at the door ,shooting birds while Amos and Jeb drink from the still... and Buck Tooth Becky weaves a Confederate flag on her spinning gin......with an occasional chicken and cow also joining in as backup💁💁💁💁💁

hello sir and or madam.... I am outraged😬😬😬...(well not that much) but I take great exception ...and umbrage at you computer generated production... I represent the "coalition of the man-whale" a growing group of people who are of large total mass and girth...being a weighty issue circumfencely challanged.... We noticed ......in your people at the cultural shed......these be only the pretty face Manhattan artsy ipodian business boys and gals...with the manicured face..and the Thai hair Bob.. in their $7000 jeans...and tight slim sculpted rears...💁💁💁💁💁💁....with hand on him in capezios...walking with a champagne glass and a pettitfour........ONLY THEY ARE WELCOME TO THE CULTURE SHED...??😢😢😢 Where are us whale and elephanto people... i myself boast with pride my 794 pounds..... I deem myself cultural.....( I once played Dixie on my jawharp)...... my wife wears her 924 pounds...with dignity and pride..... BUT I DO NOT SEE ANY OF US TUBBASAURUSES IN YOUR VIDEO💁💁💁💁 😢😢😢😢😢😢...... well be it known....when I go to the culture shed..I aints a gonna be sippen no girly champagne or tasting no ladyfingers.... while listening to techno indie computer music... When the WHALE CLUB COMES TO THE SHED we will be bringing Jack Daniels....eating meatball parmigiana, and fritos....dressed in overalls with axel grease... with my bird dogs yelping to the tune of " my ole Kentucky home" also bringing air horns ( from Madison Square Garden)....and alp horns from Yankee Stadium.. when we applaud....not just a genteel light clapping...but a roucoys hollering and vocalzepidulious bellow...... .........I'll show you real culture.... P.s. I want to see more fatty fat fats among your computer generated people... thankyou... president/founder The Whale Club.....💁💁💁💁
