Ah, I’m gutted that Yasser didn’t get through. What a skill he has to deliver a talk of that standard in such a short space of time. Insha Allah, it’s obvious he will go very far anyway, but I really wanted to hear more from him. Everyone recited exceptionally well, masha Allah, and as Sayed Ammar said, Mohammed Abbas Jaffar was outstanding. May Allah SWT accept it from them all.

Respectfully, I didn’t agree with Sayed Ammar’s comments about the noha Mohammed Fahim Akbar recited. Every culture has its own beauty when it comes to nohay, and I would say the noha he recited is one that would typically be appreciated in South Asia. Obviously, everyone wants to recite as beautifully, or as melodiously as possible, but ultimately it’s about how one’s words capture the heart.

Question for Yasser. Where is the evidence that Abu Talib (a) was the disciple of Isa (a)? How strong is this narration? And how is it even possible when he wasn’t alive during the time of Isa (a)? I don’t appreciate diminishing Abu Talib by other schools of thought. But let’s not embellish either because what Abu Talib did in helping the Prophet (a) was monumental.

Muhammad Fahim Akber could do a lot better with a choice of his own nauha he is a natural mullah Nazar said to a contestant you chose a wrong nauha I know it’s not for you but he actually chose for him even if it was one of three I think Zaheer was also confused because he is put into something not for him we could have definitely enjoyed Fahim much better with his own choice of course the poet was excellent overall shia voice 👍🙏
