WHAT WAS YOUR ANIME OF THE YEAR! Comment on this thead to let me know!
@sparksdog811110 ай бұрын
Vinland Saga won out for me, but I think JJK is now in a league of its own for Shounen anime and probably takes my number two spot just ahead of Frieren (not counting Attack on Titan because it's in a whacky grey area for being a show). JJK likely won't be matched or surpassed (in my opinion) until Chainsaw Man gets to the end of what its Season 2 will end up covering. I can't even begin to praise JJK enough, every single time I remembered a new episode dropped, I dropped everything else to watch it because I knew I was guaranteed at least an 8/10 episode, if not higher (which they usually were, lol). Side note: it's a real shame the algorithm continues to treat your content so poorly, the quality of it speaks for itself, and I think your channel deserves WAY more popularity. But hey, I admire the hell out of a content creator that sticks with it even without the wind of the algorithm blowing at their back.

@@sparksdog8111I have to agree as Vinland season 2 is also my pick for Anime of the Year. The emotion, the character development, the contrasts between Canute and Thorfinn is simply amazing. In my opinion it isn’t just one of the best seasons in anime, but one of the best seasons in all of tv history.
@sparksdog811110 ай бұрын
@@tangible_chimp6443 I completely agree! It's truly a one-of-a-kind show that just delivered a season of TV that reaches a level of peak most writers can only dream of achieving.
@DareToEntertain10 ай бұрын
First off. I 100% agree. Leon (my co-writer) and I have been working on a vinland video for around about 6 months. Its really really big and so we are trying to make smaller videos that can fit around it while we work out how we are gonna make this. Season 2 of Vinland is yeah one of if not one of the best seasons of TV ever. And to say JJK is in its own league in Shounen is a brilliant way to put it. There is no losing. Any way we look, we are eating fine class meals here. And yeah it is what it is. Jan is typically a hard month anyways with views. But to have the last 3 videos be 9/10 out of the gates does hurt a little. But we move forward. I love making videos. My cowriter loves making them too. And for what small audience we have here they are so nice and passionate. I enjoy talking to literally everyone in my comment sections. The discord is also a nice place to talk about weekly anime or comic stuff when they come out. So overtime thats what I am trying to build. A place where people can just discuss this stuff openly with other people. Thanks for being a part of the community. There is so much more to come. If I can lock it in. This year should be WAY bigger than last year.

Yes. Yes mate. Vinland Saga season 2 is rare. Rare to find something that excels at literally everything. Season 2 episode 9 is also one of the best episodes of just TV ever. Firm 10/10.

I think "Heian" refers to the Heian period in real world Japan 794-1185, not a person. I haven't read the manga, so I'm not sure though.
@DareToEntertain10 ай бұрын
You could be absolutely right. Japanese history like that isn’t my forte. But googling something like that after watching and consuming so much JJK content is a one way ticket to spoiling it in my mind. I do appreciate you mentioning this though. I’m happy to concede that it’s just ignorance.

i love your videos man! i also love seeing someone talk about jjk without having read the manga, seems everyone who makes videos has read the manga. its so fun seeing the story through a fresh perspective and also exciting to see the little mistakes you make about the story, cant wait to see you realize they were wrong. i counted 3 btw.

FINALLY finished season 2. So now I can come back here and talk about it. I loved the vast majority of the episodes. But I have to say that the final moments of the finally left a bad taste in my mouth, as they went around Japan showing the consequences. It is an excellent idea for an ending; like you said it lets us expand out from Shibuya. They just stretched it out for too long and it was too disjointed. Like you said, it was two panels in the manga. That feels like it was intentional. Great video mate, excited to hear your thoughts on the rest of season 2 (thoughts on Sukuna vs Mahorga?).
@DareToEntertain7 ай бұрын
Thank you so much for watching this. And leaving this comment. Really means a lot I totally hear what you are saying about it feeling stretched out. I honestly really dug it. For my thoughts on season 2 I am a couple days behind where I want to be. But within 2 weeks I should have a HUGE 45min or so video out on season 2. In short the Sukuna v Mahoraga fight is one of my favourites ever. The bluray too adds so much and man. It just is peak. I adore that fight. So damn much.

at 7:10 you mentioned how Yuta speaks to gojo and then show the clip of Megumi talking, am i missing something or just a mistake?
@exe478010 ай бұрын
he meant how they both talk to children and used gojo first meeting megumi as a comparison to yuta
@DareToEntertain10 ай бұрын
Literally this. I wanted to showcase the WHOLE scene but it keeps cutting to megumi. Showcasing Megumi's reaction seemed to get that ideas across the fastest imo. They show this from Gojo's pov in hidden inventory but yeah. Its more so just if you have seen both scenes. If you know you know.
