Thank you for this episode! As a non-hindu I have always been interested in other beliefs but around me just hard to find people to speak to. There's groups that are out there trying to sow division by pitting us against one another. Hope more of this so there'll be more cohesiveness through understanding instead.

With all due respect i would like to clarify some facts: 1. There is no Hindu religion(idol worshipers + non Christians + non Muslims) were grouped together as Hindu by the British. Spiritually advanced south Indian groups practiced Shaivism(Siva as main God). Ordinary people have their deities like Maari Amman, Kaali Amman, Murugan etc. 2. Don't use sophisticated terms to describe Siva Lingam. Siva Lingam is a miniature/model of Mount Kailash. Why Mount Kailash? Ancient people & the people around Mount Kailash belief that the Mountain is sacred. It is THE SOURCE OF LIFE my friends. Yes, it is the source of water. There are no forests or trees on Mount Kailash or the surrounding areas. The ICE CAPPED MOUNTAIN provides water to 4 rivers - Indus, Sutlej, Brahmaputra, and Karnali. INDUS VALLEY CIVILISATION started because of the Indus river. Some smart ancient people knew that Mount Kailash is their water source & the start praying towards it. They bring the miniature Mount Kailash wherever they went --from Indus Valley to SOUTH INDIA. Please Google for the image of Mount Kailash & you will see it yourself. 3. Don't talk bad about the British. They did some bad things, yes we all agree. On the positive side they provide EDUCATION to everyone. There won't be any learned person from the NON-Brahmin community if not because of the British. The British gave the opportunity to Babasaheb Dr. Ambedkar to write the constitution of India. The British selected him even though there were strong opposition from the Brahmins & so called higher caste groups. The British wanted the CONSTITUION OF INDIA to be written by Dr. Ambedkar so that it can PROTECT the poor & discriminated people from the systematically oppressing Brahmanic / Varnashrama / Jati system. 4.If not because of the British , we won't be in Malaysia today, discussing these topics in English. What is Hinduism? +++++++++++++++ I have long pondered on what constitutes this so called religion that sweepingly generalises the 'Indian' people and sitting on their head (as cultural hegemony) and have come up with some conclusions .... A group of priest from the Zoroastrian religion (known as Aryans) came to 'India' with their Avestan language and fire rituals and later created some slogans to form the Oral Vedas which was never in written form (modern Sanskrit) until after the 5th century AD. These priest learnt the principles of the Samana tradition( the mother of Jainism and Buddhism) that originated in the Indus Valley Civilization and thrived all over the sub continent with Tamizh and started incorporating(stealing)it into their already existent vaiteegam (senseless fire ritual) and produced the Upanishad (later even the Bhagavad-Gita and Epics were hijacked) and became vegetarians. For a solid philosophical footing which they needed in a highly philosophized Tamizh (Samana Palli language just as Prakrit is Jain and Pali is Buddhist) infused land(Sanatan Dharma- people's religiosity)about the 8th century scribes like Adi Sankara came up with Advaita logic that distorted the original Buddhist(Sunya-Void) thoughts and produced a dichotomical nonsense which did not last the test of time. Later they took up the Tantric Samana Tamizh tradition about the 10th century and put forth the bakti methodology (blind surrender). This was inspired by the Christian tradition also. Bakti was based on subtle erotism and appealed to the masses(like cinemas). The high Samana Tantra philosophical basis was ruined for the newly conjectured Saiva and Vainava cult of the wretched puranic tales (porn stories). This is the history of the Priestly class(Brahmins) that still retain their priesthood in the agamic temples(lifeless stone worship) that held sway through the bakti movement from the 10th century onwards. The consecutive non-Tamizh rulers( Brahmin admixtured race such as Vaduga Telugus) firmly rooted the new found 'Hindu' religion with its caste (karmic birth) institution (twisted from the Samana four occupational make-up of society aka Farmers, Merchants, Rulers, Philosophers) with the insidious brahmin malicious agenda of Non-Dharmic segregation (untouchability) which the colonial British gave the general name by which sealing the new found religion hence the Brahmanic hegemony as Hindooism....
