I was 51 when I opened my eyes and let Jesus into my life after pushing him away so many times ...so many opportunities missed ... Today is the anniversary of the passing of my best friend. The void that is left when they pass on can never be filled, but it gets easier with time. Even though I was not worthy, the Holy Spirit convicted me to read this beautiful passage to my future mother in law while she was in hospice care from stomach cancer in 2002. She was a fighter and was fighting as hard as she could to live for her son (my now husband now). I didn’t know back then but now I know that I needed to read that passage to her. She needed the reminder that it was ok to let go. The miracle happened, she took her last breath right when I got done reading her Psalm 23. God is so good, I know in my heart that she went home to be with the Lord that day.

iam 55y old man. When i was 10y old Jesus appeared to me and i was fully awake! I fell down on my knees in front of Him. I asked: Is it You? Jesus answeared: Yes, I AM! Then i asked: Do You save me? @@lovealways2609 God the Father spoke to me. I was sitting on my friends covered porch on a hot Texas day smoking cigars. A storm blew in. Thunder crashed as rain fell. I cheered it on. Then it all stopped and I said aloud "Thank you Father" and HE responded "I thought you'd like that". HE knew I'd like it but said "I thought". HE made a storm for me then was humble to me. Our Dear Dad! HE also gave me a waking vision of in the clouds in a glorified body. I was sitting in my office chair then I opened a door to the clouds. I looked at the clouds then walked out on the ground. I looked around at everything and beautiful clouds. I felt so well and light like I could fly and the bag of burden I drag with me was GONE! I saw an edge and walked over to look down. When I got there I looked down then I was back in my office chair. It was beautiful. It's there waiting for us and I've already been there.

@@dabaum6278 I believe you! First time I heard Jesus he woke me up in bed and answered my prayer which was "You're on the right path". He spoke into my right ear, the one with no ear drum and clear as a bell. Second time was after everything fell apart for me and I had to move back in with Mom. I was cursing Him and Dad then I said "Jesus, why do you put up with me" and he answered "Because I love you". I never said anything back to Father or Brother. I was cursing Him as He stood next to me. It's a love we can't understand, yet. I've heard Dad and Brother but I haven't heard the Holy Spirit. I've heard Satan's voice too. This Summer makes me a 30 year brain tumor survivor. I'm 42 and I've already had 3 strokes. They have been GOOD to me. God bless you Sister!

Yet alive and young, David was talking about the valley of the shadow of death, which to most of us this means at the time that we are on our death bed, on the contrary David was talking about this "world", because this "world" is the valley of the shadow of death, because those that are lost without God, without Jesus as thier shepherd are the walking dead... the lord revealed this to me as I wondered one day about what it meant as one of God's children walking in the valley of the shadow of death, I shall fear no evil. Amen to this encouraging share.In short, I've experienced this walking down the valley of the shadow of death twice in my life in SA. In 2004 coming home to my family alone, I was farm attacked by seven intruders at 10pm at night......the initial contact was this guy pointing his weapon at me, as I got out of my bakkie ( van / pickup).....only once I'd locked the van door did I realize this chap was about to shoot me from 5 meters away......so I decided to try and get to my wife and two daughters inside the house.....as went around the bonnet of the vehicle running, as I got to the lawn, he opened fire, hitting me in my back, while the bullet went right through my ribs missing ALL my vitals .....the bullet missed my spine by 1mm....Hallelujah. Then 6 other guys came out of the bush in the garden and simply began to beat me up with sticks and gun buts cracked onto my head a few times, then they picked me up on either side of my arms and dragged me to the front door, where my beautiful wife was, who came out to investigate the commotion going on outside. They then proceeded to beat her over the head with a few harsh heavy blows, causing blood to flow down her face instantly 🙏 they then shouted for money and weapons.....well they then threw me down into the entrance hallway, while ordering my wife to taking them to our bedroom where the safe was.....they took what they came for then simply tied our wrists up with two strong cable ties , then literally disappeared into the night!! While a few years had passed (5) and while still trying to overcome this trauma, two nights before Christmas eve, two armed men and a huge stainless steel knife ,came into our home while we were preparing for my in laws arrival the following day......the guy holding the weapon took a shot at me from literally 2 meters away, as he shot straight at me I managed to simultaneously throw the door on its hinges to try and close the door.....well, well, well.....the bullet just missed my neck, after an almighty " bang" as you can imagine! throwing me to the floor while the bullet hit the door, at my neck height, the bullet went right through the door then hit the window, then smashing against the wall outside on the portico! 🙌🙌 they then proceeded to shout and demand money and guns once again....while the ducking & diving was going on, my wife and two young daughters at the time literally cried out to JESUS to save us.....during the ordeal I heard the words repetitively..... Jesus, Jesus, Jesus 🙄🙄🙄 they then ordered us all to the bedroom where they began shouting about 4 times to us.....if you don't give us the money we are gonna kill one of your daughters. Well we'll, the pressure was on.....because the following day was pay day, I told them that we had banked the money, into the bank....but I lied to them, while knowing that I was testing their metal about the banking of the money! Long story made short, after the 4th shouting session, the guy holding the weapon said....let's just take the weapons and get out of here, which they did but only after ordering me to open the secret gun safe in our large cupboard....they demanded all of them and took all of them barring one! which was under my mattress at the time.....they then ran to my dauggters rooms and collected their cell phones and our laptop....they disappeared into the night leaving us shattered and shaken!! Our God is GOOD.....Though I walk through the shadow of, we are very much here and alive, restored in God, victorious in ALL circumstances.....why? because nothing will ever separate us from His eternal LOVE ❤ 🙌🙌🙌☝

This is so beautiful and thank you for sharing it. I wondered what David meant by thy rod and staff comforting him as well and since I knew that shepherds used a rod and staff, I studied biblical shepherds hoping to find this meaning out. He is correct in saying it was for the enemy because they would use it to fight off wild animals who attack the herd, but I wanted to point out what else it was used for that actually really touched me. The shepherd would use his rod and staff to keep the sheep from going astray. That made me think that David is saying it comforts him to show that being prodded by it reminds him because he knows God is keeping him safe and cares enough to keep him by His side so he may dwell with the Lord forever. Also, I wanna point out if your dwelling in the house of the Lord you cant be an earth dweller. Idk much and I've only been saved since October 2017 but if I had to use one word to describe this passage it would be obedience. Again, thank you and God bless!!!

Rod and staff are a way of directing sheep, and sometimes being rough with them to pull them out to medicate or help one. Sometimes you might bonk something over the head with it, like a dog or predator. The Old Testament shows us the spirit of Jesus. When you read the psalms see Jesus in them. We were not the ones in the bible or our sufferings or a prophets sufferings that are declared in the bible. Its all Jesus. But dint believe my words believe Jesus's own words. Luke 24: 25 ¶ Then he said unto them, O fools, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken: 26 Ought not Christ to have suffered these things, and to enter into his glory? 27 And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself. 32 ¶ And they said one to another, Did not our heart burn within us, while he talked with us by the way, and while he opened to us the scriptures? 44 ¶ And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me. 45 Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures, 46 ¶ And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day Acts 2: 16 But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel; 17 And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams: 18 And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy: 19 And I will shew wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke: 20 The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before that great and notable day of the Lord come: 21 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved. 22 ¶ Ye men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know: 23 Him, being delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, ye have taken, and by wicked hands have crucified and slain: 24 Whom God hath raised up, having loosed the pains of death: because it was not possible that he should be holden of it. 25 For David speaketh concerning him, I foresaw the Lord always before my face, for he is on my right hand, that I should not be moved: 26 Therefore did my heart rejoice, and my tongue was glad; moreover also my flesh shall rest in hope: 27 Because thou wilt not leave my soul in hell, neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption. 28 Thou hast made known to me the ways of life; thou shalt make me full of joy with thy countenance. 29 ¶ Men and brethren, let me freely speak unto you of the patriarch David, that he is both dead and buried, and his sepulchre is with us unto this day. 30 Therefore being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him, that of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, he would raise up Christ to sit on his throne; 31 He seeing this before spake of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul was not left in hell, neither his flesh did see corruption. 32 This Jesus hath God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses. 33 Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear. 34 ¶ For David is not ascended into the heavens: but he saith himself, The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, 35 Until I make thy foes thy footstool. 36 ¶ Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ. I must say although I can recite this Psalm by memory, I learned quite a lot listening to this video. Especially the parts that say, " the valley of the shadow of death:" I never saw it in that light before. The other part is, "thy rod and thy staff." I would like to thank whoever shared this.

Lord Jesus I pray that You find us living the Life that You taught us to live. Totally repented of all our sins; both hidden & those that are obvious. We have a choice to make; Heaven or Hell, because that’s what it all comes down to! Great teaching. Thia is special for my spirit, because for some reason the last few days I've been drawn to this particular scripture in Psalm 23. As I type these words Yah is making me understand. Because of the KJV I've never been able to grasp the meat of the meaning behind this scripture. I would often wonder to myself, "why would I NOT want YHWH as my Shepherd??", due to the Olde English in which the KJV is written, I would become tripped up on things like this. YHWH wants me to know this, that He IS my Shepherd, my Father, my Teacher, Redeemer and my Sustainer. Under His guidance I will never be lost. I will never lack. I have the Light of Life shining on my heart. Tears of joy, thanksgiving. My heart is greatful. I love Him because He loved me first. I pray now for every eye that locks onto these words, comes to know Him too, and that YHWH keeps you all Yeshua's Mighty Name Amen
