Enjoying your South Digvijay 😊 Road looks good...On way you saw a Hill resembling Shivaling 👍 Best example is in Tiruvannamalai.. Arunachal eshwar Temple... where Mountain is sacred and revered as Linga..and it has 16 Kms of circular path at same level for Parikrama.. which is done daily but more auspicious on a Full Moon day or Poorani Girivalam as it's called..I reached on the Poornima with out any planning as I had planned for Meditation stay at Raman Maharshi Ashram 🙏 Dhanush Kodi is beautiful and Shrilanka is only 35 kms waterways...the last Railway station till 1967 Typhoon and tsunami😢 Drive Safe 😃

5 :12 the original bridge was 4 lane. But Indian railways had to demolish one side ( and under reconstructionnow) because there was no clearance for doubling electrified railway line below

Private ki naukri !! Slavia is 53000 km old and it is really an awesome machine 😍😍 Our normal travel is with 2 person and moderate luggage and we did not face in GC issue in normal roads. !! During Ladakh drive, we faced few ground scrapping but those were extreme !! Ride and suspension is good and will definitely keep you happy in long drives!! However, rear seat wise City will be more comfortable!!

This bridge was not made in1948, but much later. When I went to Rameshwaram in 1980s this bridge was under construction. We had to leave bus at Pamban station and take train to cross the sea. Railway bridge is very old, made during British raj. The train used to go upto Dhanushkodi those days, where Ram setu is situated and Srilankan coast is just 25-30 km. But during a heavy storm on the island there was heavy damage, and railway line was curtailed upto Rameshwaram.

Thank you for sharing real life experience with us !! May be we confused with 1914 railway bridge inception!! I am sure the place was different compared to what we have seen now !! We read about the mishap from cyclone and heard from few people, it was sad ! We will get next upload by this Saturday showing glimpses of Rameswaram temple, Dhanushkodi and Arichal Munai
