I very much appreciate the detailed content of the postings which you made regarding your recent trip to the Mekong. Each one of them provided a clearer indication of what a river cruiser could expect, since many cruise lines offer similar experiences. I noticed that you were both dressed comfortably and somewhat casually, which is to be expected for that hot, humid region. It's good to know that AmaWaterways permits that level of attire throughout the voyage. It would be helpful to know a) which items you actually packed? b) what additional items you wish you had packed? and c) what you didn't really need to pack for that specific portion of your multi-facted trip. Any information which you can share would be helpful.

Thanks, great to hear you have enjoyed them. Amawaterways was very casual we lived in sundresses, shorts and tee shirts for the day, comfortable shoes, we did take some smart casual attire - dresses and for Paul chinos and shirts for the evenings and dinner. Most important to pack are suncream, mosquito repellent and hats. It was very humid so no need for jackets etc. if you have any more questions do let us know.

@@PaulandCaroleLovetoTravel Trying to picture Paul in a sundress... I am going in mid-September (rainy season? waterproof?) with Uniworld (do you now anything about them?), but now I don't have to. I'll just watch your postings again in the aircon and order Vietnamese takeaway. You have travelled to a number of places. What did you do about power adapters for all the different countries, and mobile phone? I was thinking about using Whatsapp. Any thoughts?

This was a very moving Vlog both. It was very eye opening and educational as I wouldn’t know half of the things you uncovered in here. Oh and congrats to Carole for getting more words right in this Vlog 👍🏻😜

A very moving vlog. Without going into great detail my late father spent several years in the navy based in the far East during WWII. He witnessed horrific scenes. During one of the last conversations I had with him before he died aged 95, unusually he mentioned his time there. He told me the one thing we should all value in our life is freedom, he fought for his freedom and ours today. He considered that to be the most important achievement of his life despite rarely mentioning it. It sounds a cliche but there are so many in the world still suffering at the hands of others. Sharing historical events such as in your vlog are crucial, I salute you for making such a moving factual video. Thank you, Vik x x

As always Vik you’ve hit the nail on the head. We were worried how people would react to this episode so we are pleased the way it turned out. Thanks again for your comments.

Thank you for your professional and compassionate sharing of this tragic story from history, which I'm sure many like me, don't know much about. As I watched I was googling to learn more! And paused the video to read all the signs. I was choked up right along with you Carole. While this was a different kind of excursion, your guide was wonderful! ((HUGS))

Hey Paul and Carole, flying into Gatwick from Canada on Saturday. Renting a car from Gatwick and travelling to Cornwall, what's the best routing, the M23, M25 and A303 or the M5. Thank you
@PaulandCaroleLovetoTravel7 ай бұрын
Hi Mike hopefully you will have sat nav in the car if not the best thing to do is have Google Maps on your phone which will then show you the best and quickest route depending on what's going on with the roads on that day.
