This was truly a great great video! The winning shot is definitely the one with the lady looking out the back window. So much emotion in that shot and the vibe was incredible. The sets were like wow! That street corner with the Panthers was so cool and authentic. Bravo. Hey Mike, saw the first Video around one year ago and loved it, it was the Pentax vs. Hasselblad in the desert. Since then i‘ve started watching your vids. Every time you dropped a new banger i had to show it my friends and tell them about your work. And another thing, it’s crazy how you creat videos which i don’t just watch cause of the technical or art aspect no, also because of you as a person and your character. Every time I see one of your videos the colour, the tonality and the (natural, non-gaudy) richness make me crave going back from digital (don’t hate me!) but now also the black and white. It might seem crazy, given we view it on a digital display, but whatever people say I think it’s hard to get that rich, luxurious look from digital, whatever the processing, presets etc. Knocked it out of the park with this one. Direction too, with those authentic looks on the faces and in the eyes of your talented performers. Just ace.

I love the lighting on this shoot. It´s gorgeous. Maybe you should invest into some continuos LED light fixtures. I my opinion it gives one more control over the lighting compared to an off-camera-flash. It´s just easier to create interesting lighting ratios and use color contrast to your advantage.

I hit a lot of roadblocks when it comes to studio shoots and just doing the same colored backdrop over and over.
