WW2 stabilizers (passive stabilizer) worked by decoupling the gun from the vertical guidance system. Because the guns were made to be has heavy on the breech side as on the barrel side : they were self leveling just by using gravity. But as guns kept getting more powerfull (and longer) they were inevitably getting barrel-heavy and therefore couldn't self balance. Until the development of electrically driven stabilizers (active stabilizer), these guns couldn't be stabilized.

For the Normandy landings the Americans actually had about 1000 Sherman’s with 76mm cannons but the commanders and generals didn’t want them because it would effect logistics because they needed to ship more and different rounds to the front. They were also killing panthers and tiger 1s in Italy so they saw no need for the 76

The reports of Tiger 1s and Panthers being killed in Italy were exaggerated. The 75 wasn't capable of killing them frontally. Many of the kills were actually Panzer IVs and they found this out because of German orders telling Panzer Battalions consisting mainly of Panzer IVs and IIIs to go to Italy. The few Tiger I and Panthers that were killed were so overwhelmed that they ran out of ammo and had their tracks destroyed and were abandon as indicated by German reports. The Americans were so pressured to keep up momentum that when they drove past these abandon Tiger Is and Panthers, they simply put a few rounds into the side to confirm it was not operational and moved on. The reason for the exaggerated reports is unclear, but it seems likely that many of the Panzer IVs that were killed, were called Tigers because of the fear allied tankers had of them and the Army wanted their tankers to believe they were less of a threat than they were. The other possible explanation is that the Panzer IV and Tiger to a new tank crew could look similar at a distance and simply accidentally mislabeled them when reporting back to their platoon officers, who then made the report under the wrong assumption that they killed two Tigers, instead of two Panzer IVs.

In italy it was only 1943 so germany had more tigers than what they would have in 1944/45 and yes they would have to attack from the sides but all sherman platoons were 5 tanks and these were also accompined by tds or infantry and overwhelming airsupport

Not playing until the chat is enabled again. This game is supposed to be a team effort to win. People still zerg around playing by themselves, hurting the team. Now without the chat it's even worse than before. The game should promote team playing AND communication, not reward individual actions such as kill stealing. Hell Let Loose is a primer example of this.
