This week on #TheShootingShow, Chris Dalton is in Bedfordshire delivering training for stalkers who are working towards DSC Level 2. It also proves an ideal opportunity to try and shoot a cull Chinese water deer for the table and, at the same time, deter them from feeding on local crops.
Then, Mark Ripley previews the new Thermion 2 LRF XP50 Pro from Pulsar.

Loved the video always wanted to go deer stalking. Just moved into my own place and I Sheba nice view of some fields and everyday there are at least 5 roe deer and they have 2 nice looking bucks with them. They are really nice to watch and also a really good food supply.

Despite their name, water deer are not deer at all, they are the only extant genus of the family Hydropotidae, there are two extant species of water deer, the Chinese Water Deer (Hydropotes inermis) and the Korean Water Deer (Hydropotes argyropus), the closest living relatives of the water deer are the musk deer (genus Moschus), which are the only extant genus of another family known as Moschidae, both Moschidae (Musk Deer and Fossil Relatives) and Hydropotidae (Water Deer and Fossil Relatives) are the only two extant families of the broader superfamily Moschoidea, which is the only extant superfamily of the infraorder Ceratodonta, which is part of the suborder Neoselenodontia (Herbivorous Even-Toed Hoofed Mammals), being only more derived than Tragulina (Chevrotains and Fossil Relatives) but is basal to the rest of Neoselenodontia, with the pecorans (infraorder Pecora) being more closely related to the tylopods (infraorder Tylopoda) than they are to the chevrotains and moschoids.

I never cut bone with my stalking knives?Surest way to dull them.I use a small bone saw for the sternum and I just don’t cut through the Pelvic bone but dislocate the hip joints to remove the haunches(Anus is removed from the rear with a sharp knife.)As for the Sad People comment PG all that recovered venison is A grade protein for the food chain👌
