You'd think they would know things about Minecraft by now, like how Emerald can be easily found as long as you are in a certain biome, or that the new blocks (what has now got an incredible name thanks to Seamus a.k.a the dorito block) are simply for decoration purposes and nothing more, ect. But to be fair, they do play a fuck ton of games and remembering anything from any of these games could be hard. Oh well... LONG LIVE THE SHOVEL CULT

Creatures, it does seem that ore spawns were increased. Also, James, Slimes can only spawn in certain chunks called Slime chunks or in the Swamp. Like so the creatures can see.

Guys, they didn't increase the spawn rate of emeralds. You're in a crazy hills biome. Emeralds only spawn in that biome. That's why you're finding so many.

I checked wiki. Aside from a 2-level tweak for certain items' depths, ores have always had the same spawn rate and depth-population. And level 11 is statistically still the best level, as it always will be. Then again, all is left to chance and in your seed there could be regions that differ.

Pretty sure emerald generation is the same - It's just Jordan goofed and thought those Extreme Hills as a snowy biome since snow generates at high altitude now. AKA they're all mining in a MASSIVE Extreme Hills mountain, which is where Emerald generates.

The reason they find a lot of Emeralds, is because they mostly spawn in the Extreme Hills. Where they live at now.

The amount of emerald ore has not changed. The reason they never really found it before is because it only naturally occurs in extreme hills biomes. Emerald actually has a smaller probability of spawning than diamond, but it seems more plentiful as it can spawn on much higher levels.
