It’s funny how they hated super boy and now love him. They thought he was sexist and all these thing s that were uncalled for. Sadly today people have so much options of television to watch that they drop shows before characters can show their progression then cry about the fact that no-show has good character development. There’s just too many options of other shows to watch that give you instant satisfaction, but in the long run, they don’t become classics. Shows that do this become classics a show where you know all the stuff is frontloaded so people won’t cry about the story being bad, they won’t last as long as these types of shows Imo though there are exceptions.

@@PeterStone-hy6ir Naw i recall them getting mad that he was being rude to woman and how he was grumpy when fans explained he's young and so on they dismissed it and kept going how he's annoying. Just saying this is why i give characters a chance. Otherwise character development has to happen super quick or people complain. For example i love the development of Demon slayer's lightning boy and it takes the slow approach (for today's standards) and its so satisfying to see but people hate him or that one main character from tokyo revengers...finally seeing him throw a good punch is great. Today people complain and call good development a minor issue being resolved in like one episode so their main characters are nearly flawless with a few minor hickups. Just my two cents though im in no way fully correct on that and tons of people like the development i mentioned still.

Suraj - the source wall and celestials were actually both created by Jack Kirby. He had left Marvel in the 70’s and wound up working at DC where he created the New Gods and many of their iconic cosmic characters. At Marvel he co-created Captain America, The X-Men, Thor, Hulk, The Avengers and many others.

Navi's experience was very interesting and yeah, sad, but i mean, it was apt for this episode, so no worries! the Source Wall and the Promethean Giants in it look like Celestials and something out of the Eternals because they were created by the same guy, Jack Kirby, in the 70s. so, it's not the typical "Marvel/DC did it first and DC/Marvel copied it". Kirby is known as "The King" of comics for a reason, a lot of well-known comicbook characters were created by him and a lot of references in comicbook movies or series are references to his work or inspired by him. also, Suraj's impression of Gordon Godfrey was on point!

So not so much stole as moved, see the New Gods were created by the legendary Jack Kirby this includes the Source Wall, the New Gods and the Forever people as Kirby had left Marvel to work for DC back in 1970 after creative differences with Stan Lee. Kirby would return to Marvel 5 years later needed a break from his time at DC where he would create the Eternals including the Celestials. So they look and have a similar feel to them as they were both the creations of Kirby in the 70’s

The Celestials were created by Jack Kirby in the Eternals back in the 70s, the Source Wall was created in the 80s during an X-men/Titans crossover. The faces on it are dead New Gods, and were meant to look like Jack Kirby designs, that's why they reminded you of Celestials

Surj is right it's not a kids show. But that's because by the time seasons 3 and 4 came out the audience that grew up with these episodes were going through: mental health, sexual identity, relationships complexities and other adult themes. Something that I appreciate is that we are these characters and these characters are us. DC has always taken gods and made them mortals. Why does an alien who is Unmatched in every way want to have a job as a reporter, and pay bills. It's to see the human condition and know that their powers can't solve everything.

Which is a theme brought up in this show with Batman where Wonderwoman is like look your methods are getting results but you are basically behaving no better than the enemy right now.

The celestials and the new gods were made by the same guy!!! Jack Kirby really loved mythology and the idea of ancient space gods (he also basically created Thor). The new gods are new genesis (forever people, forager who is a native of the planet) and apokolips (darkseid and co)

DC didnt steal the Eternal-esque stuff from Marvel. Jack Kirby who invented The New Gods (who were originally an idea he was gonna use for Marvel) went to DC with the idea instead and years later came back to Marvel and created the Eternals, hence why The New Gods and Eternals share alot of design and story elements.

Yes the DC Universe is not infinite is bound by the Source Wall beyond is the Source and depending on who you ask that’s either True GOD, the blank sheet of paper upon which all stories are written or the Marvel Universe. You can read about it, talk to people about it, but actually having kids is a different story. Some are good at it and some are bad at it. You can tell Silas is trying his best his way and unfortunately he does not know how to express or show it.

Yeah, but Silas only started trying to be a good father after Vic became Cyborg. Before that, he was an unapologetically terrible father, having impossible expectations that Vic still lived up to, but it still wasn’t enough, ignored all his sons interests and achievements and just seemed to have a general disdain for spending time with Vic when he could be doing science. When your kid is like 17 or 18, you should know at least the basics of being a good parent by then, and everyone has the right for hating the guy after he only started caring for his son when he was literally dying or became a new science project to work on. Silas can be forgiven, but the guy is gonna need to earn it.
