It works. Taught my daughter this technique, and when a bully attacked her and went to pull her hair, she began shredding her attackers face and followed up with a knee to solarplex as the attacker tried to get away. Then she ended up on the mount position shredding and dropping elbows.

Hey. Mr. I have once attended your course in Tampere, Finland. And it was an eye-opener. I had practiced Krav Maga, Thai boxing, Jujutsu. etc. But no one prepared me for you. Now I am already an old man, But my daughter is 18 years old, and I would like her to be able to defend herself if necessary. Thank you very much for all the information. You are doing important work. Welcome to Finland again.

Realistic simulation is great, but the part where the attacker is allowed to go full out, isn't it, since it's clear he holds back in speed and uses a fake convenient angle for the strike. This factor however, is a game changer. The attacker being your student finds it hard to go full out and hurt you and make you seem vulnerable and lacking in proper response. Point is, shredding is a super power, but like grappling (another super power) it can't always happen before the other super power of a great strike to the chin has landed. When the student holds back (normal) this truth is overlooked and it then seems as if shredding always works that easy. The best would be wearing good gear and being told to not hold back, but to keep striking very hard, for the purpose of NOT allowing you to shred no mater what. Taking it further from there, great blocking is the ground for safe and effective shredding. Just in case, you need to be able to block or/and cover yourself BEFORE entering the shredding phase. Even if you are preemptive and up close, a strike can explosively land on you before you get any chance at anything. I HIGHLY disagree with going preemptive and striking the throat just because there are 2-3 guys; most likely they do not want to kill you but damage you, and a knuckle strike to the diaphragm will allow you more than enough time to fight the other and escape. There is no real reason to kill a person, when you can disable him from hurting you. PS. The champion wrestler you mentioned would of course be a very different person due to his survival intent, if he didn't know you at all and fought you full out on the street. Your shredding could still work their as well, but it may not. The psychology in class is very different and it can deceive one into wrong conclusions. It can deceive even professional fighters; usually their knowledge of fighting and the possibilities on the street is - as tragic irony has it- lacking...

I have applied shredder several times working as a police officer in Finland for 18 years. It works. Almost everyone is caught by surprise and they dont know what to do. Ofc you also need physical capability and knowledge about "getting physical" with someone. Nothing beats experience. But shredder is a VERY useful tool.

@@Ayyar13Sid perhaps only a few times. I almost always but my other hand behind perp's neck and with the the "face hand" I also push to tilt the chin up. It is not difficult to bring someone down after that because they cant see and are imbalanced and someone is grapping their face.

Solid stuff! I approach grappling the same way coming from a more traditional background. I think it is important to learn some of the basic positions and holds on the ground ( basic basic judo ) but after that, it becomes a lot about closing distance, not getting upper torso or ankles isolated and "ripping" or "shredding" or whatever else you want to call it. I constantly reach down and grab inner thigh (simulates groin) or attack face, ears, neck etc when my standup goes to the ground and we get tangled up. I'm guessing you've done some catch though. It's great stuff.

Weenie boy, you don't know anything about real hand to hand and hand to weapon combat. I've trained in the world's most effective system for 20+ years and I'm on my way to go through the instructor program where I will be able to work with the governments around the world. All of those little things he did in the beginning of the shredder is doing a lot of damage. The CNS is affected and once the reactions begin then the fight is over. You watch too much sport fighting and it's okay because it blurs but if you think moves that affect your CNS aren't going to do anything then you're either not human or you have some disease that your body doesn't feel extreme pain. 😂

@christianbrown83172 жыл бұрын
Why do you think it’s garbage??
@armin72132 жыл бұрын
@@christianbrown8317 because it doesn' t work. Shredding itself is a fine motor skill. You cannot use it in the heat of a fight. Try it during Wrestling class and try anchoring and putting one hand on the face of your partner. And then enjoy
@christianbrown83172 жыл бұрын
@@armin7213 how is it fine motor if all your doing is clawing and ripping into someone’s face ?
@armin72132 жыл бұрын
@@christianbrown8317 I thought the same. But against realistic attacks it never worked. You need your hands to rip. Dimitri can shred his partners because they don 't fight. But usually you are in a grip fight very soon and then Wrestling is much more useful. If you are fighting in the clinch and try to touch the face of your partner with the right amount of pressure to gouge the eyes you are doiing a fine motor skill. Find a few people to work with and then try the shredder principles. After a while all you do will be Wrestling. Cause this works.
