Great episode. In the 90s my Dad and I went to Yellowstone several months after a fire went though there. And we saw scenes similar to these. The shots of the re-growth looked this.

I started to watch this vid today...but, I just can't right now. This fire, the Bobcat, Eldorado fire,.....all of them....they have devastated so many beautiful areas of our state. I was hiking up on the PCT in Big Bear TWICE....and saw billowing smoke clouds over the mountains signaling that there was a new fire. It just breaks my heart. I love your adventures and will explore others until I can watch this one in its entirety without crying. Stay safe.

Sad, but beautifully done. Living in North Fork, this is in my backyard. The Scenic Byway has some of the most beautiful scenery & is well worth the trip. We were evacuated during the Creek Fire & after growing up in the Dinkey Creek area since 1944, the fire hit me really hard. Thank you Jeff & Jill for all you do.

So many times I planned to visit the Sierra scenic byway. Could never find someone to go with me, so I never went. About ten years ago this show actually inspired me to want to visit it. Thank you for the amazing videos you produce.

Just came here by accident as I wanted to check the status of the Pack Creek Fire near Moab (as we plan to go to Utah for vacation puposes as soon as pandemic is over) and then also saw this video. Great job! Of course knew about this huge fire as well, as it was on our news that time, too. It's so good to see the present status. Nature is like a Phoenix - reborn from the ashes. So thanks a lot for this short documentation and greetings from Germany!

Great show! Thanks for telling us what camera gear you’re using please tell us your settings as well
@jeffaiello6646 Жыл бұрын
Thanks, Joy! The settings are all over the map depending on the scenes and lighting, of course. We should start a little blog or pod cast to talk about all that though...

I have been coming to this section of the Sierras for over 30 years-I even bought property 3 miles south of North Fork just to have a place for my grandboys to go to in the future. The last few years have been tough on the forest there with the pine beetle killing trees unchecked by the thousands. The Creek Fire was inevitable-and necessary for the rebirth of the area. I also must point out that the humans who have started to come here are not very clear on just how and where to camp-I have seen so much filth and trash left by these people-it is quite disheartening

It's very disheartening. People need to clean up after themselves.
