AVAA, as for the blacksmith's hammer line on "47 rockets...", the last name Ferreira literally means blacksmith.

asked him one time on twitter about lyrics, he told when he gonna be old n retired he will put em all togheter on a book

Thats cool, they're gonna lose something without the beat and the flow but it's gonna win something by being just lyrics, hope he actually does it.

when I saw him a few years back he did a full acoustic blues set for the encore, it was super cool. rap ferriera is the best

he has an entire country album if you didn't know, under the name Crow Bilken

The centrifugal force in the controlled environment in which R.A.P Ferreira and Ice Spice both exist allows for a spectrum which is nearly entire body of hip hop. The big bang of boom bap and bass.

Professor if you like Rap F. Is there a chance youve heard Milo - A toothpaste suburb. The album is insane and mostly produced by Iglooghost (you might enjoy a dive into that work as well). Id be super curious on your thoughts on A toothpaste suburb

AVAA. Someone already mentioned Purple Moonlight Pages, I'll second that R.A.P. Ferreira recommendation if you haven't listened already. That's the album that got me into him, the band is so tight and the lyrics and flows are so inspiringly meditative. Laundry is one of my favorite songs. Keep it up!

re: poet-rappers, I think Saul Williams another guy who manages to do both while not making it seem like he’s just putting his poetry over beats Listened to the Hidenka album on your recommendation and I’m especially loving the Pistol track. Just a great example of playing with the language and stretching/stressing syllables and rhythms to pronounce pistol as many ways as possible

I found your channel through the Kendrick and Drake beef and fell in love immediately. I could NOT be more pleased to find out that you know of and review R.A.P. Ferreira, as well. Been listening to him since the Milo days, circa So the Flies Don’t Come.

Tamura also has some contact and crossover with the project blowed/hellfyre guys. There's some precedent for this record happening. He even has a beat on Busdrivers fairly recent Electricity is on Our Side titled Jeane Anthony. All these folks were mentors in some respect to Ferriera over the past decade as he's built and emerged. You're right. This is a perfect collaboration.

AVAA, the bar where he says “I like the beat when gods laughing” might be a nod to earls song gods laugh that if your a fan of rap Ferreira yk this is exactly his style. Always saw his influence in that earl song so it’s cool to see he might have as well

Avaa 47 rockets taped to my chair (for dr. refaat alareer) If I must die, you must live to tell my story to sell my things to buy a piece of cloth and some strings, (make it white with a long tail) so that a child, somewhere in Gaza while looking heaven in the eye awaiting his dad who left in a blaze - and bid no one farewell not even to his flesh not even to himself - sees the kite, my kite you made, flying up above, and thinks for a moment an angel is there bringing back love. If I must die let it bring hope, let it be a story. On 6 December 2023, Refat Alareer a Palestinian poet/ activist was killed by an Israeli airstrike in northern Gaza, along with his brother, sister, and four of his nephews, during the Israeli invasion of the Gaza Strip.

AVAA... Not to be picky but I'm listening to one of your videos using earbuds for the first time, and there seems to be some intense panning of the left and right channels. Really hurts my ears to listen to. Not sure if there's a setting you could fix on your camera?
