The way Lisa said that it was stupid to divide Springfield over the whole 2 different area codes thing, I bet she'd be the kind of person who'd say that it's stupid to divide a state over political differences & I'm talking in states like New York, California & Illinois where much of the state is red (based on what I'm told), but 1 highly populated major city within those 3 states, which is a blue city & its population outnumbers the rest of the state always has the final say in every state or higher level election & I mean elections like Governor or President. I'm in NY state, so here's an example... -New York state as a whole = Springfield as a whole -New York City = Old Springfield -The rest of New York state (upstate as New Amsterdam & everything east of NYC as Montauk) = New Springfield Of course, I'm comparing splitting Springfield in 2 to dividing New York state into 3 states or at least 3 autonomous regions. Some people support such movements to divide a state over political differences.
