I am imagining a fanfic that shows what would happen if the Watcher showed up and at Lisa's request brought her to this world to show her what would've happened if Bart had died that day. Interestingly it also reminds her of how despite their tensions she does love him and sees how terrible it would be if she lost him.

@@disneyboy3030I always interpreted Cecil as a very charismatic guy who’s very capable of tricking people, but that explanation still feels sort of weak to me as Cecil completely resents Bob. Maybe there’s some other explanation for that, that also explains why the dynamic seems different in Funeral for a Fiend?
@CrisisComics11 ай бұрын
@@Yakkymania My rationalization for Bob's renewed hatred for Bart is that the Simpsons were either prevented from testifying on Bob's behalf, or simply didn't do anything to help him (they might've just wanted to wash their hands of the whole 'Sideshow Bob' affair given that he previously attempted to murder their son, blow up Springfield, and destroy their house), so all of his heroics and good deeds from the Cecil episode were ultimately repaid with... nothing but jail time. Given the very unfair circumstances under which he was arrested, plus the fact that he was locked up with his younger brother for so long... is it any wonder why Bob would be so quick to ignore his attempt to reform?

Then again, Lisa plopping onto the seat and looking outside could have conceivably alerted Bob that something´s not right - so it´s a bit murky if her taking a look actually did happen "off-screen" in the original episode. ...That would also indicate that Adult!Lisa *might be blaming herself for Barts death in this timeline* "If only I hadn´t taken a look, Bob might not have grown wise and my brother might still be alive..*What have I done?*" Actually something I am exploring in a little something I am writing just this moment, actually^^

The only thing that is known about this line alternates with Marge and Homer, the first took her life as a result of the loss of the bar, Homer choked on a ball, but it is not known when this could have happened, if after Bob Will he achieve his goal or some time later, with Marge this was surely not long after Bar's death, but Homer I have no idea when it could have happened, perhaps many years later and he raised his daughters until he died from that silly accident. xd, if this happened he surely lived with regrets and tried to be a better father to Lisa and Magie following the death of Marge and Bar, it would be interesting if it had been a two-part special like "IT" to explore this alternative line a little.
