It was my favorite sims game as a child, it had adventure and was much more than just a simulation game

@@_west_7285 It was fun reading about the various bits of lore from old pirate ships or temples. My personal favorite pastime was building various huts / homes. I'd love to find a modern equivalent game tbh

This game was highkey scary as fuck. Random eruptions that will scare the shit out of you out of the sudden, curses, the remains of those who have disappeared without a trace, like, what happened to the llama people? and the pirates? there's also this sinister bottled message that just says something like "It's true, they exist". Completly out of context. It's probably referencing the aliens, but damn. Such a good game with a lot of subtle lore.

Even the theme sounds kinda spooky in parts.

The bottled message is probably an alien reference.

Literal horror game. Kid me was freaking out lol. the hieroglyphics, random wild boars, and message in a bottle was enough to creep me out

My dad surprised me with this when I was like 12 and super into the Sims. Used to play it every day and show him my new builds and other stuff. He passed away 2 years ago, wish I could show him my newer Sims builds

I wish they remade this game and not make it story based/have lots like on the pc version. I still love this game especially because I'm kinda obcessed with desert island survival themed stuff

Me Nostalgia Eng google translate: Oh, I remember I lost a cartridge with memory for PS2 and I had a speedrun on how to get to the third island in 1-2 hours and so I went through the game about 10 times due to which I found a bunch of secrets/bugs and finally understood where to find the last fragment of the treasure map because when he jumped with a leap of faith, he finally managed to read the inscription that the last piece of the map was stolen by a fish and he needed to go fishing. One of the secrets + a bug on the secret island (between 1 and 2 islands) you can put the radio in a circle, you can call aliens and if you cancel the kidnapping action in time, you can quickly restore all the characteristics without waiting a long time for the aliens to return you, and this is how I leveled up many characters on this island + farmed fishing.

Hopefully someone can help me. What genre of music is this or what cultural music is trying to be recreated with the sims 2 castaway soundtrack? Thanks in advance. If you don’t know for sure then best guesses would help too

Try reggae instrumentals and space drums. They aren't specifically this genre, I'm trying to think what's closer to this, but they have similar feels.
