Some more corrections and clarifications, as always: - Sims 4 has added likes and dislikes to music genre and color in a recent update so the favorite music and color fact is now incorrect. - Turns out you can actually change sim's name without cheats in Sims 4 through a wardrobe or a mirror. I kinda prefer the way sims 3 does it though since it feels more "official" - You can also give a scrap of food to pets in Sims 4 *but* when they're eating, not when they're cooking. You can give them a scrap of food while cooking and eating in Sims 3 so that's why I didn't mention the eating one. - Sims 2 and Sims 4 sims can create snow angels but always with their back, but in Sims 3, certain sims can also do it face first unlike most sims, which is what I emphasized in the video. - Sims 4 has portable beds, but not exactly sleeping bags which is more unique with its own animations and all

In Sims 3, parents can also tell children to go to bed and if their relationship is good children will obey them or if they have a bad relationship children will disobey them .It works same with "Go to school" command.

You can if you have the parenthood game pack and develop the parenting skill . I just tested it to make sure. The interaction is called "Influence/force to Sleep". There's also another interaction called "Put to Bed" so they can tuck their children to sleep 😉

Maybe not a little detail, but I love how alive the university feels in University Life. You actually see students do student things, like business majors practicing their presentation, communications majors broadcasting on radio, and medicine majors studying anatomy. Not to mention how awesome the student parties felt, it's hilarious to see people randomly fighting in dorms

I love that if you have the bird tree or leave the bird cage door open in Sims 3 the bird will fly around the room they're in. If it's outside the bird could fly away and you lose it :( It just gives so much depth to the pet care

@@meiysko There are mods that help with in game lag caused by EAs incompetence. But to be honest, as someone who still regularly plays sims 3 and has played since it's release in 2009, it's a resource hog and is coded horribly. It takes a bit more than basic computer knowledge to get it working well. I run it with all EPs and SPs, the entire sims 3 store, and about 20 gigs of CC and it was a juggling act getting the game to perform well on the highest settings on a brand new gaming laptop. That's not mentioning the boatload of mods, file tweaks, and regular maintenance needed to keep it running smoothly. That being said the sims 3 community is still alive and very helpful. It may take patience and research but if you really wanna play without frustrating crashes or saving issues it's worth it. I personally love helping people with sims 3 issues and if I can't I know exactly who to ask and the community doesn't hesitate to help out.

@@yoashmo it's really not that hard to get it working, I just keep a backup folder for my saves and uninstall and reinstall it anytime things start to go a little south. Works like a charm, takes lag from 100-0 real quick. Granted I also have a powerful PC, but from what I've read stronger PCs actually make it worse so I can't blame it on that.

Coward sims will faint, runaway or even refuse to go out if it's dark for exemple. It's also hilarious because they sometimes have the creepy clown bubble showing why they're actually afraid of the dark. They can also lookout from windows for the darn clown autonomously when it's dark 😄 Yup I didn't regret letting one if my sims marry a random generated townie when I discovered he had the coward trait which I never tried before. I had load of fun and laughs discovering all these nifty details 🤣

i know you specified humans for having a ghost baby, but i'd like to point out that using an alive occult sim will work too. kind of. if you use an occult sim, the baby will be a ghost hybrid. i had a witch and a ghost couple, all of their children were ghost-witch hybrids. ghost hybrids happen because occult lifestates still keep their powers after they die, so all occults technically become ghost hybrids when they die. ghosts are neat!

Oh dear, if only we could combine the best from all the games and call it the Sims 5... Personally, I HATE the graphics and "emotions" in Sims 4. Those smiles look so... fake. Like, the Sims 2 doesn't have the fricked up emotions, but the characters feel real, sensitive, alive. I killed people on purpose in TS3 and TS4, but I could never hurt those precious emotional honeybuns (I might be crazy, but I actually speak to them). Just imagine: the realistic cooking, a tiny bit of the fourth wall breaking (sims looking directly at you) and chaos, the open well optimized town, realistic bills maybe, configurable (if that's how you say it) life stages length, hobbies and interests, in-game tools that make building your own town easy and many other cool features. And... let's face it. The original creator of the franchise left because of EA. So the only way we can get a decent Sims game is to somehow take the rights away from EA, but it's not gonna happen. Sorry for my bad English if it is, have a great day!

@@arinarat7433 I totally agree with you. The emotions actually make the sims feel more robotic and "not alive". And the art style for sims 4 is not my favorite. I think sims 2 looks the best. It's a perfect mix of realistic and cartoony. Also, the Sims 2 is HILARIOUS. Funny things would happen all the time. Not in the Sims 4. If I could make the perfect Sims game, I'd have the wackiness and details of sims 2, the open world and endless creativity of sims 3, and then create a sims from sims 4, cause that's the only thing they really did a good job with.

Great video as always. Without any more, here's some additions and corrections. 52. A detail I like is that Vegetarian trait will limit the favorite food choice to meatless foods. The selection there is of a vegetarian sim. 56. It not only affects the plaque, but also gravestone's color. For example, death by fire and meteor has a orange tint to it. I like this detail. But death by watery grave is still marked with death by fire plaque. However, it can be changed in buy mode by holding down control and shift buttons and clicking on it. 57. Not only for sims themselves. If a sim also has children, they can change their name. 60. True. There's even a lifetime wish dedicated to learning all the coiking recipes. With World Adventures, it will be more difficult to achive as your sim has to travel. Natural cooks can trade kitchen secrets to learn new recipes. 72. What I find off-putting of that feature is that married sims appear there. Also, sims send a lot of love letters during spring... 85. Mail carriers are more likely to to do that if the mailbox is full or unreachable. 86. By "whatever floats your boat", I also remembered that sims can fish on houseboats. Sorry for random one. 87. Well, another random thing... Hey! I just noticed a Mysterious Mr. Gnome on it! The bed came with the patch needed for Island Paradise. 88. If you have an alien join the military career, the description (on the panel where you accept the job) is different and instead tells the alien to be ready to be a traitor to their own species. 96. The sleeping bags are usually used at pajama parties, where all children/teens sleep in a sleeping bag when the night arrives. A very practical object indeed... 100. These three tier opportunities have very interesting reward plants. The first gives you an ability to grow cheese and egg plants, the second lets you grow steaks and patties. And the third rewards you the ability to order omni plant seeds through mail. That's all. Thank you for great video.

For the point at 10:37, if you look in the XML tuning files for the game there is a line which reads: "" This basically means that there is a 20% chance for the mail carrier to do the angry animation, so it's notcdepedent on traits or accessibility like some people think

Why would the sims 5 be made with UE5? EA always used their own engines specifically made for their games, UE5 dosen't seem to "fit" the sims and it's needs.

The Sim who was asked to protect someone will have the negative one saying sth along 'stress from the protection responsibility'. I am not sure if those are differ depending on Sims traits though

I still play the sims 3 regularly. No shame, it's a great game. I always watch your vids. They get me so hyped to play. I tried the sims 4 but it never shook the feeling of being a "glorified" mobile game to me. Too many core features missing or details seeming half-assed. If anyone needs any help with their laggy or crashing sims 3 game let me know. I've been playing this game since the beginning and know a lot of tips and tricks. If I don't know I at least know where to start looking. I love this game and I want everyone to keep enjoying it the way so many of us still do. It deserves the love.

In the Sims 3 parents can also ground their teenaged kids for stuff like skipping school. Only problem? They will apply being forced to stay home to things like going to school so the kid'll have to sneak out. Because if they don't go they'll get grounded further. Kids can also ingratiate themselves to their parents by doing laundry to then ask to be let off the hook sooner. I once got stuck in an endless loop of one of my kids being grounded because the mother was being super bitchy about it. I had to send the parents on vacation to get the kid ungrounded (because the timer ran out). I think they can also get grounded for leaving too much dirty laundry on the floor. I also love how witch kids who have a broom can use the broom to go to school instead of the school bus (for example if they're late). Teens who can drive and have a car can use the car to drive to school.

I don't remember if you already mentioned it in one of your videos, but another fun detail in sims 3 was the shape of the tombstones. If your sim had live a "normal" life they would get a normal tombstones, but if they completed their lifegoal and lived a particular happy life they would get a fancy one

My parents didn't have the money to buy any expansion pack so I only had the base game (the preorder tho). And to this day, almost 12 years later, it's still my favourite gift I've ever gotten in my whole life. (My fiancé bought me a second hand car and it still can't compete 😂) But I never craved for more! The base game was always enough for me and it was unlimited fun! With the Sims 4 I never feel the need to play it. When I save up for the occasional pack, I'll play (mostly build tho) for a couple of weeks and won't touch it until I get to buy the next one when I can afford it. I watch Simmers play and that's enough fun for me. However I can never watch a Sims 3 gameplay video in one go. I'll start the video and feel the urge to play. I really miss the Sims 3. I think I am going to stop spending my money on the Sims 4 and start buying Sims 3 packs. At least I will actually use them. PS. Yup, I really miss the sims 3 personalities. Traits did matter then 🙄 Loved most of them, specially the 'bad' ones like neurotic, evil, hot headed etc so much drama. Even diva, coward and such where so much fun.. I had a sim who spent 90% of his life fighting with other sims. And when he wasn't autonomously doing it he'ld roll wishes for it XD They actually had personalities 😓

My sim was a singer who cought on fire and died after bouncing off of the prize exploding device that singers carry with them to sing telegrams. My sim was at a museum so there were no shower to put the fire out. She was the only sim in my household so the game just made her a ghost sim! Lol I did not save my game! Death by Singing Telegram no one has ever covered it.

What I usually do in my Sims3 games, is that I buy another empty land (if I don't find what I want I place it near my house for example) to place all my plants so the zombies can't eat my plants and I can have all the plants I want ! 😋 Moreover it happens to me that my Sim who was a man, traveled in the past with the travel time machine and came back with a little girl and she was his daughter but she has no mother ! I don't know if it was a bug but I've been very surprised ! 😂
