Unless if it's Evil Gnomes (and on lesser extent, the Vampire Gnome if you're a Sim without a Brave trait), all of the gnomes are harmless.

I just got the most wholesome story ever out of one of these gnomes. One of my sims joined the ghost hunting career, right? And in that career, you can capture spirits and either sell or release them. First one I ever caught was labelled a friendly, young spirit. It looked really cute in its box, so I take her (decided it was a girl) home and name her "Aqua" before I release her into the house, wondering what will happen. Nothing happened :( So I forget about it after a while, and about one in-game week later, I find one of these gnomes in the catacombs (the common one.) This was the first one I ever found, so I got VERY creeped when it started moving around. *Then I realized.* I know this isn't how the game actually works, but to me, it's canon that little Aqua really liked my Sim for releasing her, so she hung out in my Sim's house till I found that gnome, and she possessed it to remind my Sim that she's still around. Can't tell if that's totally creepy or TOTALLY ADORABLE😭 I'm really glad you can give these gnomes names. Named it Aqua, and I will never kick her and _I_ will kick anyone who tries.

I think the *Evil* gnome can also appear in photos. One day I was taking pictures with my sim's phone and I saw the gnome in the photo. This gnome traumatizes people.

I don't know why, but my sim family suddenly got 4 of these singer gnomes in just a few sim days. It should be ok if there is one, because one sim is level 10 on the singers career, but why are there 4? I also don't remember getteng 3 of them, I just know of the first one that I found in my family inventory. (Just to let you know, I never made this peanatbutter and banana sandwhich, so they just appeared without anything to lure them there.) Now I have this "Tadaa" music thing nearly every night and they seem to love sleeping on the expensive bed... But since it happened this way without cheating, I will just wait and see if there will be more. Maybe it's the destiny of my sims family to be overthrown by a horde of gnomes.

The evil gnome isn't the only one who terrorizes other gnomes. My invented gnome left my sims alone, but he was constantly fighting and chasing the other gnomes. I ended up selling him to make it stop.

I love how it's supposed to be a 0.1% chance for the freezer bunny gnome but I had this dog in my household and it would bark at the fridge every now and then and I would get one pretty much every time. I had eleven freezer bunny gnomes at one point.

There is a mod available on MST that makes all gnomes buyable without debug, and also CAStable, so one can recolour them. They also appear in randomised colours, but I find the Chinese gnome often comes out clay-coloured. I have also developed a habit of transmuting gnomes with the Philosopher's Stone. Other items I frequently transfigure are wildflowers and newspapers.

There's more to the Crash Site and Llamas- you can find the Llamas through looking for makeshift furniture in a University building, dumpster diving, and when you leave the crashed ship the door locks again- you can use another key to get in, and find more loot, indefinately. No need to change the future or anything. I hope this helps others trying to get all the gnomes!

Once when I was playing the sims the ice cream truck was creeping me out so I did Object Delete on it. Then, when I looked at my sim's house again, the bunny gnome was there and it freaked me out so much. I seriously thought the truck was haunted and I deleted the gnome in fear that it would possess my sim.

I used to have many gnomes (I think normal ones) when I played a sim that had an enormous garden of harvestable plants. They'd do parts of the gardening provided the camera wasn't on them or the garden between 2 and 6 am. Combined with sprinklers, I only had to do harvesting and fertilizing on the existing plants. Good boys...

When I made my Horse Trainer Sim, she ended up with 7 horses and every day, 2-5 gnomes would spawn. The extra money was great at first but then it got so annoying that I sold my horses just so they'd leave me alone. I also found one Diving once but since it was just the one, I was cool with it. Love the fun little clip at the end with all the Sims kicking gnomes though.

Interesting enough, I had a sim who was going for the Rockstar lifetime dream and as such was in the Music career. Yet, one night the magician gnome showed up at his lot and hung around it until my Sim moved to somewhere more fancy. This was in Roaring Heights and my Sim did have a few celebrity friends (he was also a celebrity himself).

The Elvis Gnome appeared to my sim despite no peanut butter sandwich around the house or singer level 7 career. I think it was because she had the Star Quality trait. Also, the French Gnome, Napoleon, I believe it was the responsable for giving my other sim new random extra outfits (that I can't change), and appear as casual clothes (so I get 4,5, instead of only 3). I believe it needs to be at the sims inventory to happen.
