I don't care about sims multitasking, better AI and graphics, THIS is what we need. What is the point of creating good looking sims and houses if everything is so lifeless? Going to school dances, picking a date to prom, having you teenager throw a party when their parents are away, or even things like getting the newspaper every morning or picking your sims's favorite food and color, these little details is what makes the sims 3 a better game than the sims 4.

You can actually get asked to the prom via phone call from that sim, but it doesn’t happen often. There are after-school activities for children (ballet and scouting) and smth like “interest clubs” for teenagers such as “sports club, science club etc) And children can already sell their cookies in a stand it’s been there since Sims3 original game came out it didn’t came with any expansion pack 😁 Great list tho I wish Sims3 was still being improved

True, I have been playing Sims 3 for 9 years now and I had to play sims 4 for about a year now because my computer had an issue that I fixed a week ago actually and I spent all my time downloading cc to make sims that I never even played through. I had one family that I played and got bored after about 2 days because there was nothing to explore and most of the time I was building anyways. I just bought Ts3 into the future last night after not being able to play it for the past 4-6 years but no matter what sims game comes out, sims 3 will always be my favorite. Not only because I grew up with it, but because of the emotions that your sims can express and feel and all the features added to the game makes it realistic and interesting, your sims can always have something happen and make a turn of events which makes the game more interesting even after being out for more than 10 years. It's still got its spark.

I remember when The Sims 3 released, I was 12, and I was so excited about this game. I played it for hours on end after school and on the weekends. Fast forward to 2014 and The Sims 4 released, I was 16. I played and played and realized that I just couldn't get into it, I thought maybe it was because I was growing up and losing imagination. WRONG. I'm 24 now and just re-bought The Sims 3 after 10+ years. And now being older and wiser, I realized it wasn't me, it was The Sims 4 game itself. TS4 is just a dress me up, point and click, empty, emotionless world with crazy expensive DLC to add any "oomph" to your game. EA just doesn't care about the game experience anymore, they just want your money. Open world, driving cars, walking freely around town without loading screens. Seeing your neighbors. Seeing the school bus. It's the little things... Anyone reading this, if you have a decent PC set up, The Sims 3 is $19.99 on steam and it's way more immersive than The Sims 4!

I've been playing The Sims 3 since it was released, and bought all of the expansion packs as each one was released. Despite 13 years and certainly over 1,000 hours of playtime, I still return to The Sims 3 once or twice annually and proceed to spend 70-100 hours over the next month or two thoroughly enjoying it again. It's one of the most feature-rich games I've ever played, possibly *the* most. When the marketing blitz for The Sims 4 began, and they unveiled the lack of pools, ghosts, toddlers, create-a-style and the open world, I decided to wait a few years for them to receive substantial updates and add-on packs. I received the base game on Origin in 2016 during a marketing period wherein they gave the game away for free, played it for two hours before getting bored, and haven't touched it since. Also, a rather funny note about The Sims 3: Generations. Upon it's announcement, the initial reaction from simmers was lukewarm. Many thought the content was too lite for a full-priced expansion, and should have instead come in the form of free patches for the base game. It's interesting looking back at those sentiments now that many simmers regard it is being one of the best for The Sims 3.
