Emilty Stott There isn’t just one northern English accent. The UK as a whole has four countries and four distinct accents, and within each country there are at least dozens more distinct accents based on where in that country you live and what class you are, etc. In the north of England, there’s the Teesside accent (which Plumbella has), Geordie, Scouse, East, West and North Yorkshire, Lancashire, Cumbrian, Manchester, etc. And that’s just to name a few. We’re a very old and yet pretty small country, so our accents are deeply rooted and very varied. It’s really fascinating and something we’re proud of. That’s why it’s jarring when an American talks about “the” British accent as if it’s a singular thing and the 1% of the population that speaks the Queen’s English represents the whole.

Example: I believe she called what I call a “couch” a “sitty” (unsure if that is the right spelling) and I had to think about that because I had never heard a couch referred to in that way. So, it’s not a lack of understanding, I just need to think about the American equivalent to a word here or there.

Oh god, I remember actually going out my way to download the Monte Vista world for free off some website as a kid--can't remember what it was--and playing the shit out of that place until there was some creepy glitches that had certain clothes give sims centaur bottoms and have walking mermaids tails, which gave child me the creeps. Or maybe that was custom content problems? Nonetheless, I feared heading into CAS and when the wife got pregnant her pregnancy clothes were the centaur outfit and I noped the fuck out of that family.

I can't tell you how many hours I spent on games4theworld and MATY trying to install KT Store Fixes and decrap all of the pirated store content with S3pe and the little decrap executable file - Only to realize that most of the store content wasn't worth it. Toddler stuff, a few venues & new maps are really the only things I don't regret (eventually) purchasing. Most of the CC for furnishings and whatnot were better than the store content anyway.

Roaring Heights is good too in terms of aesthetic if you like Art Deco (which I adore)! In terms of gameplay + aesthetic my favorite city would be Bridgeport though 😍 the bars, nightclubs, the residential area for celebrities, the NY aesthetic. Late Night was such a good Expansion pack imo

Well, once I fixed some of the routing issues in the town so it wouldn't lag 😂 The lighting, the architecture, the fashion, the 20's references - they did an amazing job. I've also never seen them decorate lots this well. The team that made this put so much love into it. I had to turn aging and story progression off for a minute though, lol. All of them changing to random clothes and hairs when they aged up kinda messed with the whole aesthetic, and it's exhausting changing them all 😂

(Dragon Valley too, ought to sweep by there) I miss the Sims 3 so much with their preset stories... and general luv being put in by their devs, not just tossing a basic bisch at us and telling us to do it on our own.
