hey y’all! you might notice the quality is wonky in some parts of the video!! i accidentally messed with my recording settings without realizing it 😭 it gets better as the video goes on though!! the reason this video is late is because I couldn’t decide if I wanted to actually use this footage, knowing it’s not the best quality in some parts. I obviously decided to use it because I think this house turned out super cute, but I for SURE owe you a proper part 2 so stay tuned!!

10:57 I like it except the stone floor. Dark academia is old English library; dark colours, books, pipe smoke, fireplaces, polished wooden floors. The stone feels more castle ruins.

💕I think a egirl bathroom would be with a lot of contrast like a pink chess tile on the floor with dark walls with neon signs and led lights on it. Then add some really bright, fun accents with a shower curtain, rug, clutter, wall decor,...💖 And maby add a place where she colors her hair! And a big mirror for selfies 🥰

Finally, someone who knows what ACTUAL Y2K aesthetic is. It's a futuristic and stuff. I will say the emo one didn't feel quite right. I don't know what all the decor items in the game are but you needed more things like band posters, broken bleeding heart pictures, and just more stuff on the walls in general. I have done extensive research on the subculture over the years because I am a part of it. 😂

@@sarahkendall Had a random idea for a challenge (though someone's probably already thought of it), but why not build a house based on the "Not so Berry Challenge", in that I mean you have a house with ten rooms each one based on a different colour and characteristics of a different generation of the challenge (eg a Mint bedroom filled with scientific equipment, an Orange kitchen in need of some TLC, etc).

i lived through it too! the Y2K aesthetic is specifically centered on tech optimism, silvery/shiny makeup and clothes, and futurism. Y2K is considered a subcategory of Retro-Futurism! that is the definition I use. it is not the same as the early-mid 2000s hyper feminine and blingy styles. Thank you for your input!!!
