New challenge idea: paint by numbers. Build your house in white. Then roll for each room. I.e if you roll a 3 every item in the room needs to use the 3rd colour swatch.

yeah!! it totally gives the vibe of a house that has been partially renovated by a family that moved in, who also brought some of their old furniture. Like someone had an all purple room in the old house, which is where all purple bedroom furniture came from. And they decided to not replace the blue counters that the previous owner put in because it would be too much work just for a change of color (maybe they plan on painting them later...). It's such a mood.

Thank god someone else said this. My stuff is definitely mismatched, colour and probably style wise. I think the whole matching decor is for staging homes and dunno rich celebrities. Especially funny to me when some sim builders comment there's no cohesion between rooms in terms of colour - I never pick the same colour scheme for my bedsheets and my living room rug to "tie it in" lol

Honestly, it turned out pretty good! I've been to a LOT of different houses with some seriously interesting color palettes so it's pretty realistic. Even the bedroom with the purple furniture didn't look that bad, lol. Nicely done!!

I love that whenever you're building something, you always come up with little backstorys for example here the candle loving vampire family with a baby and I so want to see theem! I think it would be a great series to create the sims in Cas. This is a challenge that is fun to watch but too hard for me to do. I think some of the colors that mismatched made the house look like it was in the middle of being redecorated by the owners. So could be gameplay oriented. I like the "owner" bedroom better in color but the "family" bedroom better in white. Very cool.

I actually think the purple furniture against the kind of ochre yellow wallpaper works really well! Yellow and purple are complementary colours so I think they look nice. If everything else in the room was a bit more harmonious with those colours I think it would have looked really good.
