That slight sheer is incredible though. They're perfect. The curtain rod piece is game changing. Need more of those cause man that was an oversight

@@shelbybilicki the sheer is actually pretty annoying. try looking at the windows with the curtains at different angles. the transparency of the curtains is messing with the windows. sigh

I live in Dahab, Egypt I could class myself as in the desert yes we want air but windows with no glass would mean my house would fill with dust and sand faster than it currently does hahaha. Can't wait to play with this pack

Deli! I have an idea. So for the patio area, what if it was two "rooms" or sections? So the first section would be a sitting room / sunroom with the folding doors leading to the second section that has the bar and stone couches? Just an idea. Great video, I'm really excited for the build and to download it :)

15:14 It would not make sense to but that fireplace indoors! It designed as an outdoor fireplace with a chimney vent at the top. In real life a fireplace like that indoors would release all the smoke in your house!

As someone from the southwest was sad that there was only one Native design, the rug design on the fold chair, thought it would be more Adobe mud home style... but the dirt color is correct!

You should build a Santa Fe styled adobe home. They’re modern and contemporary, especially since the pack is based off the southwest us (Arizona and New Mexico). We have a lot of adobe houses here in the sw, both traditional and modern/contemporary. This area is widely known for filming movies and world renowned artists. I’d love to see what you do!!

The new wall and matching floor tiles lend themselves beautifully to industrial styles. Now if they would only give us metal flooring that matches the metal stairs. I loved that TwistedMexi's Better Build Buy had the kit separated by name as soon as it downloaded. The snap point on the curtain rod can be elevated with the Tool mod by .3 to line up. Hope they fix that. LOVE that sofa.

There's a really cool Frank Lloyd Wright house called the 'Trophy House' which is a sort of desert house in LA, I'd love to see you recreate or take inspiration from it. It's very unique.

I would love to see a modern contemporary dessert build, like those beautiful dessert home interiors u see in interior design magazines! I’m so excited to download this pack as I’ve only been playing with base game ever since I first downloaded sims (broke asf) and so another suggestion is if u want to challenge urself even more, u could build a house only using this newest kit and base game (but I totally get if u wanna utilize all the packs to make something that will stand out and pop) as people who just have basegame and this new kit could download one of ur builds! Deli I have a build series idea for you - could you do a series building like accurate homes in different styles? Like where you research how they are irl and then you do your best to recreate them in the sims? I loved the video you did a bit ago where you researched a really neat home style in (I forgot - New Orleans maybe?) and in this video you mentioned you wanted to do more research before doing the build - I love this idea, it makes it so fun to watch (I do love your straight deli creativity too but it’s nice to shake it up sometimes😜). Another random moment brought to the comments by yours truly! When I was a kid, a teacher gave a very nifty trick for the dessert/ desert spelling issue that has stuck with me for decades... you're more likely to want seconds for dessert. (There's a second s in the sweet treat.)

I just want to say that people have been sleeping on desert aesthetic 🙈it’s so beautiful! We took a vacation to Sedona, Arizona last year and this is the vibe, the southwest is beautiful along with the Sonoran desert. I recxomend looking at Sedona air bnbs and even some in New Mexico to get some inspo 🤍I wish they had added some desert potted plants or some rugs or pottery, something with turquoise or clay, but I’m in love with everything in here Edit: Taos New mexico earthship home is totally up your alley Deli! Its a fully sustainable home in the southwest

I live in a desert. Those windows with that like... Built in awnings are in a lot of the newer, taller buildings. Also, I see stuff like this around me all the time. Everything has to be sun proof. Everything. The sun will destroy most stuff by basically baking it in the summer. So honestly, good job on this pack. The linen style chairs are good as well since linen is hardy enough for the sun.

A piece of advice to Xbox users who the kit isn't showing up for. Go to the gallery, select any lot that uses the kit, set the kit icon from that menu, and you'll be redirected to the Xbox store where you'll be able to claim the kit.

Very clear to see if you put the simple lux arm chair and the lounge chair next to each other. But those curtains are chef’s kiss

Video idea! You should take a build from one of the worlds and put it into a different world. Then renovate it to belong in the new world. For example: take a build from oasis springs put it in willow creek and make it look like it belongs in willow creek rather than oasis springs.

Thank you for mentioning it was free. I didn't know EA was going to do that. Of course when I went to get it, I had to update my game, which I last did October 2021. I figured since I wasn't going to be able to go into the game again until I got a new graphics card, I would hold off updating it. At least now it's up to date, and I will have a new kit, the first one I have gotten, to build with when I am able to play TS4 again. It's nice to see them offering the base game for free for those who don't have it. The last time it was free, May of 2018 or 2019, that's when I got the game.

I know this was several months ago posted haha but you mentioned thinking desert should be spelled with two S's like dessert. My dad taught me a trick for knowing how to spell and which is which hahah. Desert has one S bcuz its Just Sand and nothing else. Dessert has two S's bcuz its full of Sugar and Sweet.

Maybe a young family build? The parents could be architects/artists who finally got their big break and now they are moving to the desert to find inspiration for their next project. They don’t even have to be parents, maybe a couple and then her younger sister moving in with her since she’s now the caregiver. The younger sister could be getting into design as well, either with clothes or digital art? And a dog ofc hehe 😁💌

I think by having simmers help design stuff it really does help EA get a different kinda perspective I guess I guess the best way I could put it is like someone who designs cars And then having the people who actually have to drive them pitch in to help see what works better here and there

I had a weird problem when I tried using this new kit. For some reason when I placed the new door, it was too tall. I think it was medium wall height. I placed it on a small wall height wall and I had the small wall door section selected but for some reason it was too tall. It was going through the ceiling. I tried placing the base game windows next to it but they were too short compared to it. I’m only realising it was something wrong with my game now because Deli placed it next to the windows and they fit perfectly. I wonder who it didn’t work for me.

This is a actually a cool kit I just got it the other day and have been playing it ALOT. I think it works great for OASIS Spring world. I enjoy playing with there the most.
