Theory: I think Vlad and Night Wraith were brothers and one of them got interested in witchcraft and got so interested that he ended up cursed but because of being a vampire, he couldn't really die so he ended up turned into Night Wraith.

Apparently if a burglar attempted to burgle your sims home it could feel like a violation to players, including inducing anxiety and possible trigger players who have experienced similar experiences. Which makes no sense as Vlad Straud the vampire is allowed to just turn up at our sims lots unannounced so I don’t understand why burglars can’t do the same?

But I also feel that The Sims has been around for 20 years and part of the lore of The Sims is it’s realism and the consequences in game - the burglars we’re a huge part of this. I appreciate how The Sims team may be taking peoples anxiety into consideration but if they’re going to make scary packs with scary elements in them such as Vlad and The Night Wraith then they should also then create burglars for The Sims 4 and either make them optional or in an expansion/game pack as it is a wish for a lot of long time fans of the game :)

My witch has been occulted and this monster was coming to her. Believe me, it's litearlly the most scary thing in whole sims 4. (Paranormal accesories are nothing compared to this) My sim had a nervous breakdown, cried all the time and was exhausted

I just got the curse while playing a Spellcaster a couple weeks ago and didn't remember about the wraith, very exciting and spooky. Took almost a week until I could finally craft the potion to lift it. I think it'd just be annoying if it was more common though tbh.

The Night Wraith may have been a powerful Spellcaster during his living days. Notice his resemblance to Vlad's dark-form? I have a theory based on the new lore introduced in Werewolves that the Night Wraith was one of the Spellcasters that took part in the permanent magic clone experiment. All the clones casted had an extreme hunger that made them attack (and probably eat) their Spellcasters, thus making the first vampires. I think Vlad was the Night Wraith's clone, and that Vlad killed him.

@@Ilivepuppys yeah I know that, I just didnt know what to call its category. And the dude in the video kept referring to it being an occult, though it technically isn't. Even if it was a hidden Easter egg/refrence to the popular Harry Potter series, it should at least have a special look and design to it's character. That would have made it 10x better than what EA gave us. They have been doing pretty bad lately with recent installments/updates of the game, not listening to players/fan on what they should do and/or how they can approve the game in mechanics and immersion.

That curse is really scary and I was impressed when one of my spellcasters got it. The Night Wraith is so persistent I was worried my sim would die. If you pass out from low energy the Night Wraith appears and drains any energy you recover.

I also recommend Curse of Scrambled Spells. Just try to clean appliances/plumbing with magic and watch them catch fire instead. When you try to magically put the fire out it clones the item in its burned state. Combine with a small house/narrow walkways for maximum chaos. Then top it off with the Night Wraith.

I once had a Sim get this curse, but when I realized he wasn't able to sleep I was so rushed to get the curse out of him worrying that he might die that I didin't even notice there was an actual creature that appears when you have that curse... I remember having him and my other two wizards looking desperately in the library of the Magic Realm at midnight while I was looking for the spellbook of "Desmaledictio/Decursify" but I eventually bought a potion from the reward store. BTW, the music in this video was very soothing and I really liked it.

I didn't know they came in a pack but I have seen them in game. My game randomly moved one into a vacant sulani house and it looked so cursed I didn't want to move it out lol. When I got the paranormal stuff pack my first gig was in san myshuno and apparently a second one of these randomly moved into another lot and it was honestly hilarious to see this thing terrified of those friendly little blob ghosts. So fun fact, apparently after several generations the game runs low on random sims to fill empty houses and just throws these guys into them. They've outlived a few generations of sims now and I'm going to have to make more sims before my game has more of them occupying my empty homes and all the neighbors are these things.

Now that we know that Vampires and Werewolves are a product of Spellcaster magic backfiring, and he has the Vampire idle animation... I would love if they did some lore on this dude. Headcanon that he died during the Vampire creation arc, and was the first (failed) vampire. Thank you for making this video! Last I checked, the game kinda breaks if a vampire has a baby from being abducted. Sims can't decide which occult traits it should apply and things get weird.
