Back in the eighties a buddy of mine was torn between buying the P1800 or a Porsche Speedster. He couldn't afford the Speedster and bought the P1800 instead. I named it the Swedster.😁 Yours is absolutely stunning!

I like what you did with the modifications. I own a 64 1800S driver that is very original , Red over black. Love the styling of these cars! Owning these cars are special in that people just don't see them often. My car always stands out at shows that are filled with all the typical American muscle cars.

I went from owning and restoring a 1963 Corvette Roadster to a 1968 P1800S. That P1800S had electric overdrive and twin Weber downdraft carbs. It was a really fun car to drive. Mine was gray with a red leather interior.

Very cool car. Equally cool video. Thanks! ❤ When I was in high school, in the late 1960s, the father of a buddy of mine owned one of these. I never got to drive it, but I’ll never forget sitting in it and working the shifter. It was built like a Swiss watch. Unbelievable technical excellence.

Here in the UK an iconic white P1800 is the holy grail - because of the connection with The Saint TV series. Unfortunately back in the day the car was not as sporty as it’s looks would suggest and performance wise it was certainly no match for an E Type. However you’ve really nailed it with this car, it’s great. Well done.

I'm an old guy and remember the P1800 as a real bargain GT, although out of my range. The Saint TV show was based on a series of books in the 1930's and 40's, written by Leslie Charteris. The stick figure "saint" with a halo was always on the book cover. The "sinner" figure is a nice take-off. This is real nice restoration especially for a first timer and for a car of this sort who cares if it gets demerits at an auto show.

I had a ‘66 when I was a kid. I paid $1900 for it. It had 447,000 miles on it, but it ran like a top. Calling it a sports car is something of a stretch. The skinny little Michelin tires didn’t help. I didn’t have the money for the sport wheels ( mini lites) at the time. They would have helped. The b18 motor was not very fast reving so it was kinda slow in a drag race. My buddy beat me with his mom’s Malibu that had a 6 cylinder. It was the best highway car and I loved the way it looked. Wish I still had it

@@Rlyon777 Love your attention to detail - great concept & craftsmanship. To talk about me for a minute, my toy Volvo twenty years ago was a charcoal and tinted 760 turbo wagon, with the typical IPD hot-rod suspension stuff done - sweet ride. Also served as a test bed for car audio experiments - was fun at car shows to have lots of visible amps and electronics and a quartet of 15s, with a baby seat in the middle (never used at the same time, of course!).

This is a little spooky you have done exactly what I want to do with my p1800s......I dont want to have the saint look a like p1800 and don't really want to go to shows and sit on a deckchair with a car that is garaged 95% of the year.... Totally agree re the wheel stance...mine has wider banded steel wheels but again but your alloys are perfect.....not so sure abouts the white lettering on the tyres....but I am British. (However my car is black and came with a wide silver stripe down the middle.....) Just adding the arches changes the whole look and again agree the Cyan p1800 restomod looks amazing.....but for £500k it should do! What wheels and arches did you use, and did you just polybush the original suspension. Great video really well shot and it has cemented my love of the p1800 as I now can see what I want mine to look like. I also would like to make some more like this....... Thank you.
